Fourteen (angsty Reddie fanfic)

Chapter twelve

The boys were standing at the edge of the cliff thing, looking down at the water. They were in nothing but swim shorts (don't ask how they suddenly got them).

"I never realized how uh, far down the drop is." Eddie says, gulping. "Mhm." Richie puts his hand on Eddie's back.

"You made it here last, it's time for you to jump, Eds." He says. Eddie turns his head towards Richie.

"Why don't.. You go?" He asks. "No, after you." "After you!" "No, after you!" "No, I said after you!"

Richie sighed. "If you don't jump, I'm gonna push you down." He says. "If YOU don't jump, I will slap you across the face." Eddie responds.

"Alright. Well, have a nice fall, Humpty Dumpty." Richie said, pushing Eddie off the cliff and into the water.

"AHHH!" Eddie screams. Richie laughs. Once Eddie hit the water, Richie ran back, then he ran off the cliff and dived down, splashing in the water.

When he rose to the surface, Eddie was nowhere to be seen. "Eddie?" Richie called out. He looked around, still no Eddie.

"Eddie! Eds!" He yelled, panicked. Suddenly, he heard water splash behind him and a yell along with it. Richie screamed and turned around. It was Eddie.

"EDDIE! YOU LITTLE SHIT!" He screamed. Eddie was laughing. "I was getting worried that I accidentally killed you!" He says in a quieter tone than before.

"I'm sorry, Rich! I just wanted to get you back for pushing me!" Eddie says, still laughing. Richie splashes him.

Eddie splashed back. Richie smiles and splashes Eddie again, Eddie splashes back. They continued splashing each other for a few minutes, until suddenly they hear something.

They stopped splashing and turned their attention towards the noise. The noise they heard sounded like a third splash, so they were watching and waiting for someone's face to appear above the water.

Eventually, someone emerged from the water.

"Bill?!" Richie and Eddie both yell. Bill giggled. "H-Hey!" He swam to the other boys.

"What are you doing here, Big Bill?" Richie asked. "I g-got bored at h-home and decided to c-c-come here." He replies.

"Ah. Makes sense." Richie says. "You scared us, Bill!" Eddie yells. "I'm s-s-s-sorry, Eddie." Bill says.

"It's fine!" He smiles at Bill, Bill smiles back. Richie coughs. "Ew." Eddie says. "What? I just coughed!" "Yeah, but you didn't cover your mouth. Do you not realize how much germs could spread?"

"Oh shut up, Eddie!" "Y-Y-Yeah!" Bill joins. Eddie gets a few inches away from Richie and Bill.

"You're fucking gross, Richie." Eddie says. Richie chuckles. "Yes, but you love me." He responds.

"I know that, fuckface!" Eddie yells.

Eventually they all start swimming around, being stupid. Just normal boy stuff, until Bill had to go home.

He left and so did Richie and Eddie. "Hey Eddie, sleepover? My place?" He asks, putting his normal clothes on.

"Alright. I'll call Ma when we get there." Eddie says, already dressed. Bill was already gone. Richie finished putting his clothes on and he left with Eddie.
