Fives ignited his lightsaber. He got into a ready position, waiting for Shaak to make her first attack. Shaak raised her lightsaber to strike Fives, but he sped himself up with the Force and kicked her leg inwards. She fell to the ground and Force-Pushed Fives into the wall. He quickly steadied himself and got back on the offense. Shask raised her lightsaber to deflect the strong attacks, arms shaking at each one. He seemed to be getting faster every time they sparred.

"Skywalker will be impressed," Shaak praised, slightly out of breath. It seems like Fives really did drain her of her energy with his fast attacks.

"Thanks Shaak," Fives said as struck her lightsaber again. The blues clashed in a bright light.

"I think you're about ready. General Skywalker is leading the 501st on a seige to retake a city from the Separatists. Go there and make your dramatic entrance, Fives." She staggered while blocking Fives' attack.

"I'll make you proud." Fives successfully knocked her to the ground and held his lightsaber pointed at her.

"I will be there to take you to Illum shortly after, unless Skywalker requests that you stay. You will get your second crystal there."

Fives grinned. Second kyber crystal? Finally, just what he needed. He'd even already made the hilt for it. He deactivated his lightsaber and attached it to his belt. Fives had also decided to take a word of advice from Cain and carry his newish twin hand blasters with him, just in case.

"Stay safe, Fives," Shaak said after she stood up. She had worry cast on her face.

"Don't worry. You've taught me well," Fives said with a smile. "I won't die that easy."

Shaak smiled and pulled him into an embrace. "Don't say that. You'll come back without a single scratch on you. I know you will."

"I will come back Shaak. Don't worry."

The wind whipped his face and made his clothes flap about. He could see General Skywalker's bright blue lightsaber and Rex's blaster fire next to him.

"You ready?" The clone pilot asked Fives.

"Ready as I'll ever be!" Fives called back. "Here goes nothing!"

Fives had never felt so free and fearless while free-falling. He used to be terrified and before that often made fun of Rex being thrown off a wall that was exploding, but karma came and bit Fives in the ass. He loved the feeling of the wind whipping around him. As he got closer, he sensed Skywalker clearer and stronger. Fives had never sensed something so strong. But there was one Force-signiture that was missing. Cain.

Fives ignited his lightsaber and landed on top of a crab droid, piercing the head of it. He jumped over to another and yet another, making the droids stop firing as they looked around confused at the sudden destruction. Fives deflected and reflected blaster bolts and sliced a few more droids before landing gracefully next to the General and Captain.

"Quite the show I made, wasn't it?" Fives asked, knowing the answer. Both Skywalker and Rex were silent, staring at him in bewilderment. "What? My face too good not to look at?" That earned a playful slap on the back of the head from Rex.

"I heard you were good, but I didn't now you were that good," Rex said amazed. Skywalker smiled. The General looked different. His hair was noticeably longer than the last time Fives had seen him, just before Fives had gotten shot, and he seemed to wear a harder expression. Rex looked the same as Fives had called him to meet in person on Kamino.

"I'm impressed," Skywalker said with a smirk. It seems like the General hadn't changed too much. "You look different in half your armour, Fives."

"Eh. It was too hard to move in full armour. I favour speed and agility," Fives explained.
