"Do you still follow her Instagram and Snap?" Ivan asks over the phone as I was getting ready for work.
The phone was on speaker, laying on my bed as I was pulling my pants up. I had stopped when he asked me that question before staring at the phone for a moment.
"No."
"Why not?"
"Why would I?" I ask. "She blocked me."
"She blocked you?" He asks. "Are you sure?"
"Either that or she deleted her social media. All of them."
I remember the day I went to look for her accounts but couldn't find them, knowing she blocked me so I gave up and didn't ever try to look for her again.
The thought hurt a little but I didn't let it get to me.
Ivan was coming back today and said he wanted us to hang out to do something. I knew he was trying to keep my mind from her cause the last few weeks have been hell.
It was now a week left until that party, which I was nervous about but couldn't figure out why I was so nervous. I wasn't going to go to it, but part of me wanted to go.
It was still in the back of my head on what I should do.
Ivan asked a few times over the last week about if I was going or if I decided not to go.
I remember Layla asking if I figured out if I wanted to go or not, which I told her that I didn't want to go in the first place.
"Figure it out soon, sweetie." Ivan said over the phone. "It's almost time."
"It's making me more nervous knowing that it was getting closer to time but I don't know what to do." I said as I stood there and stared at the phone on my bed.
Looking at the time, I knew I had to leave for work now so I told Ivan I would call him later. I hung up before walking out of my room and making sure I had everything before leaving the house.
The music was blasting through the speakers as the windows were down and my arm was hanging out, making me lean my head back and smile as I was in my happy place right now.
When I pulled up to the restuarant, I parked in my assigned parking spot before turning off the engine. I grabbed everything I needed before getting out and locking the door afterwards.
I walked into the building and saw how packed it was already, which made me realize that it was going to be a long day as I walked back into the kitchen.
I clocked in before greeting everyone in the back as they were smiling at me, patting me on the back and I soon got to work.
A lot of orders came through and it was making me sweat as I was standing in front of the stove. I had to make sure I stepped back when I went to wipe my forehead.
I looked around as everyone else was busting their ass as I looked back at the stove and continued to cook.
There was a certain thought that went through my head a few times as I was working, which was the thought if Elle still lived over here in town or if she moved.
I didn't ask Layla where the party was held at, cause I knew where she used to live but I didn't care enough to see if she still lived there or ask Layla about the address.
When I first got over her, I went by her house a few times to see if she was still living there or not but I haven't went ever since I got over her.
Now I was constantly thinking about her but didn't want to drive by to see if she was there or not.
