vicflores- a pic from last week for a little update:)
A couple days ago, as I'm sure most of you saw the article, I was rushed to the hospital. I was organizing the nursery- no heavy lifting or strain- when I had started to get a sharp pain in the upper right side of belly. At first I thought B was just pushing/kicking really hard, but the pain had started to get worse and I realized that this couldn't have been from B. I had immediately called Chris, but he was in the middle of filming on set and his phone was on silent. Before I had the chance to call anyone else, the pain got so bad that I was having trouble doing anything else. I called 911 and got an ambulance right away.
While no one was with me in the ambulance or for the first hour I was in the hospital, the nursing staff was insanely helpful especially Aspen who had sat by my side the entire time until Chris arrived. My OBGYN came to the hospital and explained that I had Gestational Hypertension which is a form of high blood pressure during pregnancies.
The day was utterly scary but bean and I are doing very well. I have been put on bed rest and I am doing everything I can in order to keep myself and B safe. B has been moving around and is in perfect health.
Chris has been the man from dreams and has helped me keep calm the last couple of days. My friends and family have done everything they can to help us through this transition, including Claire and my mom making our meals, Seb and Rdj finishing up our nursery(yes the two of them now know the gender), and all of our other friends helping take our minds off the situation and making sure that the end of our pregnancy is as normal as possible.
To all of you, thank you for the multiple messages and dms sending your support and prayers. It means the world to both Chris and I and has been so helpful. Your hopeful messages and stories have provided lots of laughter as well.
If any mothers who have had Gestational Hypertension have any tips, please dm them to either Chris and I.

chrisevans- if there's anything the last week has taught me, it's do not take time for granted.
When I was pulled off of set because my phone was blowing up and they couldn't ignore the notifications anymore, my heart fully plummeted to my stomach. To hear that a loved one was sent to the hospital, especially your pregnant significant other, is absolutely frightening.
Victoria Flores, you are such an inspiration. The strength and bravery you have showed these last couple of days are unbelievable. Trust me when I say your love is more than a simple word to me. It's so real that it is part of who I am. It's so intense that I can't get enough of it. When I was in the dark about what was happening, I was so scared. Scared that I wouldn't get to kiss you anymore. Scared that I wouldn't get to tell you I love you anymore. Scared that I wouldn't be able to hold you anymore. So Victoria Flores, I love you. The more time that goes by, the more I learn new things to love about you. I have learned so much about you, not only during these past couple of days but throughout your entire pregnancy. You are the strongest woman I know and I am so glad that I get to see you navigate becoming a mother.
To Baby B or bean or B, I love you. From the moment I processed your existence, I have loved you. You are making me accomplish my biggest goal and I am so excited to meet you. B you are already so loved by me, your mom, all of your aunts and uncles, and the entire world. Oh, and Dodger. Bean we are ready when you are.
