Sidney holds me as I violently cry in her arms, her hand combing through my hair as she lets me mourn for my dog. Wet tears fell on me from her own eyes. This is hard for us, our happiness fading away. Of course, it has to be the same day we had to deal with all stuff back in Woodsboro.
"Girls," Nancy says finally. "I think you should call the cops and have them handle it."
"No," I disagree.
"(Y/n), please."
"He killed my dog, you need to tell me everything that you know about him."
"We-Well um. He stalks his prey, has a knife, um he doesn't talk. Uses the darkness of the night to hunt. He is the most powerful on Halloween night."
"How ironic."
"(Y/n) please, this is a stupid idea. Please let the cops take care of it, let me call them for you."
"The police had this kid on their radar for what, over 15 years, look where he is now. Looks to me like he is still alive and well. Still terrorizing innocent people's lives that last time I checked."
"Tell me this girls, since (Y/n) is so keen on killing a local legend. Ina town I have lived in all my life. Did Billy escape? or did you kill him?"
"Screw you, Nancy. If you cared for me or my dog you would be helping me kill him. This whole hauntings or whatever just got personal."
Getting up from where I was I walk outside Nancy's house, heading straight for my house. Sidney stops me on the porch of the house, inches away from me getting inside.
"Look," Sidney sighs. "I know you are upset, but so am I. But we need to take a step back and look at what we could possibly do. We don't know this Michael guy, we don't know him like we know Billy. If you walk inside that house, that is your ticket to your grave. Billy isn't here to save you from your death."
"This is my choice to go in there, celebrate Halloween like how we intended. Then when Michael effin Myers decides to ruin our parade, I will be waiting for him." I say, pulling my arm free from Sidney. "I may be stupid for doing this, I may lose my life, But I can still try. Right? That monster can't live freely, he killed Chewie. Sidney, he killed an innocent dog, he killed part of our family."
"I know (Y/n)." She was silent before speaking up again. "You're not going in there alone. We still got each other's backs, right?"
"Dang right."
