I once thought
Myself a damsel
In need of a knight
To rescue her
I soon found
Life cruel to ladies
Unless they have
A knight in arms.
After much injustice committed
Against me I arose stronger
I no longer consider
Myself a damsel in need
Of a man to rescue her
For life has shown me
That I am able
To salvage myself.
