Fake Princess

Episode 5

There's a dinner party to celebrate the obstacle course. Chang Le's mother wanders in like a lost lady looking for her daughter, Liu Yu Yao. She requests her daughter to play some Qin.

Fortunately, Cheng Le has musical talent. Both princes are enamoured by their respective ladies. Chang Le successfully passes the Mom test.

However, there's still all her cousins. They make her drink wine which should be a breeze for her but Li Che can't let his woman drink with other men even if they're related.

As a result, Li Che is red and drunk. He's so drunk, he brings her to a second round in another village, "Tao Yuan". The villagers recognize him as "Wan An". Still drunk, he introduces his wife to everyone having his arm around her the entire night. Following suit, Chang Le introduces herself with her real name instead of Liu Yu Yao. 

Li Che is even more drunk. Overnight he vows to be brothers with a rooster. Cheng Le had to tie his arms to keep him obedient. She slept on the bed right above him to keep him under her observation. Li Che's morning embarrassment makes Cheng Le smile. She thinks he's cute. He reveals this village is special to him; it's his home. This village was established by his mother, Shen Empress. He also shares his vision with her for peace. In exchange for keeping his village a secret, she asks him to let her play outside for two hours everyday. 

They're back in the palace and the Empress requests their attendance. The Empress isn’t happy Liu Yu Yao sent Wang Dong Jie (cousin) to jail. However, she chose the wrong method to punish Cheng Le.

She tried to frame her for stealing a telescope but Cheng Le is an expert at pick-pocketing. The plan backfires when Cheng Le sabotages the Empress's maid instead.

When Empress reminds her she’s a Liu, Cheng Le once again emphasizes she's no longer her family. She is a "Li". Li Che smirks. After returning to their manor, Li Che scoops her up and spins her around.

He's so proud of her for putting the Empress in her spot. He gives her a reward and she wants food. He's really taking a liking to her as he personally applies ointment to her injured foot. Chang Le is wearing shoes that don't fit her because Mom had made them for her (Liu Yu Yao).

He continues to share more about his mother and how she wanted him to be a gentle and caring husband. Without any hesitation, Chang Le assures him he's done that. 

Nong Ying isn't willing to give the telescope back to Cheng Le. To her, there's no such thing as retrieving a present back that was already given. She's just throwing a fit at Cheng Le because she used her and called her a mere servant.

However, when Gong Sun Mo wants it, it becomes a much easier task for him even though he also called her a mere servant. When he's studying, she's reminded of her brother (who died). She tells him to make her happy and she'll give him the telescope. To make her happy is simple: read her a book (with zero emotion).
