Cheng Le plans to do her second night of stealing but she catches another suspicious black figure. It's Nong Ying. She learns that Liu Shen had kept her mother as hostage to force Nong Ying to work for him.
Cheng Le promises her she'll help her rescue her mother. In return, Nong Ying gives her a letter she stole from Li Che. It details his trust for her. Cheng Le is happy and forgives him but she remembers she just added more thievery crimes to his name.
