Chang Le wants to help Li Che solve the case. He assures her he can handle it. He does ask her who would she choose between him and her grandfather. For her, of course, it's him because she's not actually Liu Yu Yao.
Li Che refuses to believe that Chang Le is behind the burglaries but Gong Sun Mo insists he investigates her. Nong Ying overhears this. To protect her new best friend, Nong Ying somehow makes Gong Sun Mo fall into the water while saving her.
Gong Sun Mo immediately falls ill because he's weak against the cold. When he was younger he risked his life to save Li Che hence his current health. Nong Ying has guilt written all over her face.
Gong Sun Mo probes her knowing she's protecting Chang Le but before he gets any information from her, Chang Le has already saved herself. She had returned the stolen goods and the case is dropped.
It's their fourth date. Li Che takes Chang Le hunting. He calls her dumb for not knowing how to shoot and she hits his arm when he's aiming. She won't allow him to capture what she cannot. He disappears and she becomes worried. Moments later, he pops out to surprise her with a back hug.
