When I was finally my original size, we had arrived at Malfoy Manor. A place I had grown to detest over just the last 4 visits. The Death Eater's locked me into the room underneath the staircase that I once called, "home". Now, I called it "my prison". Because it was. When I wasn't needed, they'd throw me in here, lock the door, and throw away the key. They advised I get some rest. I could not. I would not. There was a light tapping on the door. "Scarlet". Draco. "What are you going to do, kill me?" I said bitterly. I couldn't stand the sight of now right after what he was prepared to do. "You know that it wasn't me. I couldn't do it. I didn't do it". His voice didn't have it's usual blend of arrogance. It shook. He was just as afraid as I was. Maybe even more so.
Even though I was in this cage, this was my hiding place. Draco however was not so lucky. But then I shook myself back into reality. That still didn't excuse him. "You may not have had cast the curse, but you may as well have. You were prepared to do it. You let them into Hogwarts". My voice wasn't loud, but it had all the bitterness in it that words could possibly hold. I had attempted to raise my voice, but it only cracked when I did. My throat had become hoarse when I shrieked for help as the Death Eater's carried me here.
Our conversation for a while was like this. I was upset about the Dumbledore incident for quite a while. I was still upset about it, but I knew that bringing up the subject wouldn't resurrect Dumbledore from the dead. Nothing would ever change the fact that he wasn't ever come back. "Scarlet?" Draco questioned aloud if I was still there or not. My silence had worried him. "Yeah, I'm still here". I answered. I was always here. It's not as if within that one minute I had managed to dig a hole into the stone floor, and escaped Malfoy Manor. There were echoes of footsteps from afar. But they came closer and closer until the sound of footsteps were no longer echoes. "Hang on Scarlet, someone's coming". Draco said, before sitting in front of the door. I heard the jingle of keys from outside the door. "Mrs. Weasley has been summoned by the Dark Lord". I was surprised to hear that oddly monotone voice I had somewhat grown accustomed to. Snape.
I hadn't seen him since I was trapped here. Had to have had been about a week ago. If not, then it was more than that. To pass the time, I would scratch the days I'd been imprisoned in here into the walls using tally marks with my fingernails. I was up to five before I stopped counting. Or more simply put, I lost track of time. The door creaked open to reveal Snape and Draco. We walked down the hallways to the dining room where all the Death Eater's had already been seated. Voldemort sat at one head of the table while Lucius Malfoy sat at the other. Snape and Draco took seats on each side of Lucius. The only vacant spot left was next to Voldemort. He gave me a toothy smile and patted the seat. Upon seeing that I was hesitant to sit next to him, he flicked his wand. A searing pain coursed through my arm. Only when I did as silently instructed did the pain go away.
"Nice of you all to join me". Voldemort said. "Some information has come into my possession. Harry Potter is being moved from Pivet Drive to the Burrow. We'll capture him, then. Remember, I want him alive. We leave, in an hour". The meeting was kept brief. "Wait". He said to me as I scooted out my chair. "It must be nice to see your little boyfriend again right after he's captured by me. I'll tell you what, I'll give you an hour to unravel the complete truth about yourself to him. And when he's already down, I'll crush him like the bug that he is. I'm feeling generous. I'l give you front seat ticket so you can watch the show". I felt sick to my stomach. "I'll die before I let you put your filthy fingers on him". I declared. Voldemort smiled that haunting smile of his. "Now Scarlet, be a good little girl. If you side with Harry Potter, I'll have no choice but to kill you". "Go ahead and try it". I dared. "Oh, and Draco-". Voldemort added. Draco now stood beside me, his hand on my shoulder. "-Scarlet will still be yours so long as you keep her in line". His words echoed through the hallways minutes later even after he was no longer present in the room. "What's he talking about, Draco?" I turned to him when Voldemort was out of ear shot. "It's a deal I made with the devil". He said.
