"Mirror... Seatbelt... Brakes..."

Kendall went through the checklist for the hundredth time. Despite living through all the life threatening events, she still couldn't get over her stage fright.

Just do like you did in practice! She tried telling herself, taking her mind to the backstage before a competition (which could only be the worse choice of scenarios).

As the passenger door yanked open, Kendall sat straight and stared forward, gripping the steering wheel tightly between her hands, trying to make a good impression. She was told that driving instructor Wood Jr. was no longer working at the test center, he retired and moved home in Arizona, that they're sending someone high rank to take her test.

To please the new examiner, Kendall kept her eyes forward, waiting for the instruction, until she saw a cup of coffee lowered into the center cup holder, this one bigger, and filled to the top.

NO!! Her heart sank.

She carefully took a glimpse at the examiner, from her peripheral vision she screamed out loud.

"Detective Kelly??"

"What?"

The Detective shrugged like it was nothing, placing a clipboard across her laps.

"Strangely, I received a direct order from the Supreme Court. They specifically assigned me to be the driving assessment officer for an individual, to ensure the applicant only to be certified under the proper influence, in the concern of public safety."

Kendall was speechless, completely bewildered by what she just heard.

"Well? What are you waiting for, young lady?" Detective Kelly threw her a smirk. "Let's see you spin that coffee!"
