"Hello, my flower."
His voice was soft and quiet, making a relieved sigh leave her lips.
Her heart started slowing down it's pace again and she closed her eyes, feeling a wave of calmness taking over her mind.
The effect he had on her was insane.
She lied down onto her side, cuddling into her blankets."Hey, lovely."
When he heard her gently voice on the other side of the line he felt like a thousand butterflies started tickling his stomach.
His breath hitched and he quickly his blushing face in his pillow.
Get a hold on yourself Aspen.
This wasn't a moment to be a simp.
Her worried voice snapped him out of his trance again."Aspen? Is everything okay?"
He started cussing at himself in his head.
How could he be such an airhead and forget to answer?
She even called him "Aspen" and not "lovely" like she did every other time she talked to him.
He must be really messing up.
He was embarrassing himself like he always did it in front of her.
He couldn't help it.
Only a thought of her could make him behave like a fool."I'm sorry, my flower. Just missed hearing your voice."
She felt like squealing.
The butterflies tickling her tummy were making her forget about her previous worries and replacing it with pure delight.
Her cheeks started burning in an adorable pink.
He missed hearing her voice.
Did that mean that he missed her?
An excited giggle escaped her lips and she let a wide smile take over her lips."No worries, lovely. So, tell me, what's on your mind?"
He felt like he died for a moment and went to heaven for a moment.
Her giggles made his room seem brighter and his heart stumble over forgetting it's own rhythm.
She felt so close to him in that moment.
He could basically see the smile gracing her lips and her unforgettable eyes shining in his mind.
Her.
She was the one on his mind.
And before he could even think twice the words left his lips."You, my flower. Us."
"Me?"Her?
How could she be on his mind?
He said he felt a bit nervous.
How could he feel nervous about her?
She froze for a moment.
A heavy silence hung in the air.
She didn't want to talk.
She was scared of saying something wrong."Okay, I officially should control my mouth and words... Yes, my flower, you. That's what leads us back to the reason why I called."
He really should learn how to keep his thoughts to himself while he's talking to her.
He could basically feel his heart trying to escape alongside his soul.
Clement may be an idiot sometimes, but looks like Aspen could beat him without a big effort.
He probably sounded like a complete jerk.
He made it sound like it was a bad thing.
Like she has upset him.
He made it sound like it was her fault and her being on his mind was a horrible thing.
It wasn't a bad thing.
Her on his mind could never be a bad thing.
For a moment he felt like a burden was thrown onto his heart.
The feeling of fear and doubt took over for a moment and he closed his eyes in pain.
It felt like he was getting burned alive.
It wasn't his fear or doubt.
That's what made it so much worse.
He was ready to rip his heart out if it'd stop these feeling for them.
But he knew it wouldn't help.
Words could be of use.
Simple combinations could of 26 letters could make it better.
Yet his throat felt sore and dry.
It was his fault that this was happening.
It was his fault that these feelings got to the surface.
He felt like a horrible person.
How could someone be so passionate with words on paper, but at the same time not being able to produce a simple sentence.
