14th October 2022

The doors of a small coffee shop opened and the cool autumn air danced into the room, accompanied by the carefree laughing of two soulmates.
The young man, who's hair was dripping from the previous rain and messed up in a surprisingly cute way, was smiling brightly while holding the doors open for his date.
Now when the heavy rain stopped, the wind started carrying around the fallen leaves again, making it seem like the world was devoted to them.
The young man and the young woman that quickly walked in, thanking her date.

"Thank you, love."
"My pleasure, gorgeous!"

The smile stayed on the two young lovers' faces.
While the young man couldn't look away from his soulmate, it was quiet adorable how she tried to sneak small glances at him, hoping that he wouldn't notice.
Yet he did, making him feel happy all over and over again.

The green eyed woman looked around for a perfect seat, since the coffee shop was almost empty she had a lot of options, yet she also wanted to have a bit of privacy and no pressure.
Smiling proudly when she found the spot that was perfect in her eyes, she turned towards her date and soulmate, hoping to catch his attention, only to find him already looking at her.
Eyes filled with admiration and a content smile on his face.
She could feel his happiness and it made her heart change to a quick rhythm, matching the butterflies in her stomach that made her feel light.

"You've found a spot you like?"

He knew she found it.
It may sound weird, but he couldn't take his eyes off her.
It felt like he'd die if he'd do it.
It felt like her happiness was the reason to keep breathing and her sadness was the reason to keep fighting, fighting for her to never feel that way.
He was helplessly falling in love with a woman he met only a few days ago.
A woman he was destined to meet and now he couldn't think of anything else than loving her.
He just wanted to make things right.
He wanted it to be perfect.
Perfect with her.
Even if perfection is impossible.
For her he'd make anything possible.

"The one at the window, in the corner where the sun won't blind us."

His voice made her feel like she was dreaming, she couldn't describe it, yet it made her feel like something was softly keeping her grounded.
The way he was looking at her made her voice get quieter with every word she spoke.
She hated it that she was making a fool out of herself, yet she couldn't help but hope or even wish that he'd never stop looking at her with his memorizing eyes.

He had an effect on her.
Secretly it made him feel like getting was the right one for her and he really wished he was, because if he could then he'd stay at her side, even if death would tear them apart.
Looking down at her he gently, almost fearfully took her hand into his, hoping that he wasn't overstepping any boundaries.

"Lead the way, my flower."

A shy smile took over her soft lips, making her look even more beautiful to her date.
Lacing her fingers with the ones of her soulmate she started leading him towards the table, she knew that he understood where she wanted them to sit, yet it felt nice to be the one leading him, seeing how he put his trust into her, since he kept looking at her.

He loved how she took care of him in a soft way, nothing to much, just the bare minimum.
He knew that she'd do more and he would too, but right now he wanted to take things slow, let her feel comfortable beside him.
Surpassing her with a few steps, he pulled out the chair for her, still holding her hand.
Her touch felt comforting, he felt cherished and grounded to his safe place.
