i will be posting these two comments i wrote on youtube videos verbatum. partially because i want a word count, more so because i feel these are important ideas to be shared with my fellow human beings, made in the Image of the Lord our God.
"the Father chastiseth those whom He loveth." and, "Thy rod and Thy staff, they have comforted me."
the inner chastisement one allows themselves to feel by bearing the pain of an abominated conscience is necessary to retain in order to also retain one's willingness to come to the Lord for help. when one "beats themselves" with the rod and staff of the Lord, which are His Commandments and the writings of the Lord's Prophets, they then are able to receive the Comforter into themselves, for,"the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." insomuch as one is,"violent" in their brutal honesty with themselves, forcing themselves to confront their sin; their darkness that must be integrated for them to become Whole. in succinct relation to all this, Glory to God for how well He has arranged it; our ability given by Him and made active through Him to strive towards and eventually achieve this Wholeness is hinted at also by Christ when He says,"do not say,'here is the Kingdom of Heaven!' or, 'there!' but rather, the Kingdom of Heaven is within you."
in truth, Job's is a sort of proclamation of God unto us at all times and in all places:
"I know all that I have made, and I have declared it once that it is good, yea, and very good. though your eyes are dim of sight, and though your ears are dull of hearing, all this that I have done and allowed to take place is for your Salvation. though your heart is wearied by the many evils of this world, My Right hand is withheld until the Consummation of all things, until every Wedding torch is alight. for each and every evil that you see in the world that is fading away, I work in My way through men and Angels to do the more good, until the Day when I shall unite Heaven and earth forever, and place My Throne amidst thee, My peoples whom I have cherished since before the world was, when the Day-stars sang for joy at thy Creation."
i also wanted to note, in taking upon Himself human nature, the Son and Immortal Word of God, having already beforehand known the suffering we face, was able to offer to humanity a new and Divine healing. insofar as God has assumed all of human nature, He has eternally United mankind to Himself within His own Body. "what is not assumed, cannot be healed." as the Fathers of the Church echo plainly to us, being heard also in Jung's notions of integrating one's shadow. Christ is the Second Adam; the Adam Kadmon proposed by alchemy, but Divinely better. God universally began to integrate all of humanity's collective shadow into His unending, infinite, incomprehensible Light in the Annunciation of the Angel to the Holy Virgin, saying, synchronously enough,"the Power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore that Holy thing which shall be conceived in thee shall be called the Son of God."
and at the Climax, the Crucifiction, we see the Lord take His final breath and hear Him proclaim in a hushed, meek tone,"It is finished." the proof of the Great Work being completed with the Spear being pierced into the side of Christ, and the Aqua Vitae flowing out from His precious side.
to this very day, at this very hour and as you read these words, somewhere in the world the Lord receives offerings of bread and wine in His Divine Liturgy, Mysteriously causing them to become His very Body and Blood; yes, the very and exact same that was in the womb of the Holy Virgin, from which Divine virtue went out and healed upon the touch of His garment, Whose hands sculpted Adam out of the dusts of the earth, Who breathed Life into our originally fallen First Parent, Whom also rescued him in His descent into Hades alongside all those others that rested in the bosom of Abraham until then and carried them as a cloud of witnesses with Him into the Heavens after their graves had been opened by His Spirit and bodily went into the Holy city, Whom laid down His life for the sheep that He might take it Up again, leading us alongside Him into Eternal Glory.
