Alora stood outside of the flagship dojo, handing out Cobra Kai merchandise to people who were interested in the dojo. She put on her fake customer service smile and continued to hand out things even when her face began to hurt. She glanced over to Kenny who looked perfectly fine as he gave the people casual smiles and talked occasionally.
"How did we get stuck here again?" Alora asked, rolling her eyes when the last person in her line had left.
"Because we volunteered," Kenny gave her a weird look.
"I did?" she confusedly questioned. "When?"
"Yesterday. You don't remember?" Kenny raised an eyebrow at her. When she thought of yesterday, what came up was a blur of stupid stuff and bad decisions. Apparently, this one was included.
"Of course, I remember," she lied. She turned back around to the line that was gathering back around her. She held up her hand to see the small snake tattoo that curled around her right ring finger. She remembered that part correctly at least. Once they were done handing stuff out, Alora made a beeline for Kyler's car which he had not-so-willingly lent to her.
"I'm going to go see Amaya. You wanna come?" Alora asked, smiling sarcastically. She was the tiniest bit clued in to the little love triangle blossoming between her sister, the little LaRusso, and Kenny. She also figured that since Amaya was shunning her, she was probably shunning Kenny too.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Kenny shook his head with a slightly solemn expression.
Alora snorted. "Probably not." She drove to Amaya's house and stood on the porch. She shook the nerves out and quickly knocked on the door before she convinced herself to leave. A few moments later Devon opened up the door.
"What're you doing here?" Devon scoffed, looking Alora up and down.
"Is Amaya here?" Alora asked, not wanting to deal with Devon's attitude right now.
"Yeah, she's here but she's made it clear that you're the last person she wants to see," Devon says, crossing her arms, leaning on the doorway.
"I don't have time for this. Just tell her I have to talk to her," Alora huffed.
"Fine but she won't be happy," Devon says pushing off the doorframe. "One minute." She closed the door and a couple of awkward minutes passed before the door was reluctantly opened by a bored-looking Amaya.
"What do you want?" Amaya asked.
"Why are you mad at me now?" Alora asked, even though she already knew the answer.
"Why am I mad at you? God, Alora you are so dense," Amaya rolled her eyes. "It's because you chose Cobra Kai."
"I've always been in Cobra Kai. You've never seemed to have a problem with it until now," Alora shot back.
"No, I mean after all of the terrible things that they've done and will do. Can't you see that your so-called "Sensei" is a lunatic? Not to mention the other one is sitting in a jail cell right now. Doesn't that say something to you?" Amaya asked, squinting her eyes slightly. "Why can't you just come to Miyagi-Do?" she asked letting her guard drop for a moment, showing how truly hurt she was.
"You too huh?" Alora asked, her face hardening. "It's not that easy, okay? You just don't get it. Cobra Kai's not-" she cut herself off and took a deep breath. "Fine. But don't you dare try to say I didn't try with you." She turned on her heel, went back to the car, and drove away not looking back at the girl who was still standing on the porch.
She drove away, with no idea where she was going. All she knew was she had to leave. Out of the most important people in her life, half of them had bailed on her and she was feeling more and more empty as the days went on. Memories swirled in her head as tears slightly blurred her vision.
