I awoke to the soft pattering of rain on the windowsill. The wind blew lightly and ruffled the trees just outside, and the sun glinted through the clouds. It was only eight in the morning, and a cool atmosphere made it all the way into me and Zak's room.

"Psst," I whispered, so as not to awaken the rest of the household, "Wanna go frolic in the rain?" My best friend grumbled something and shifted around in the bed until he was in a sitting position like me.

"Depends," He giggled, "Where are we going?"

"Wherever our heart desires," I over-acted and we both started laughing quietly. The two of us left the bed and put on the first things we saw. For me it was a red hoodie, and Scoopy chose a random blue one. I noticed this and mentioned, "Great minds think alike!"

"What are you waiting for?!?" Zak took my hand, "C'mon Daryll!" I laughed again, and he dragged me out into the now pouring rain. Within minutes both of us were soaked to the core, but it didn't matter. Together it felt like we could do anything, and it made me feel so incredibly happy.

"Look Bad!" He shrieked, and pointed. A small shivering dog was hiding under a bush. It looked a lot like Rocco, but small, like Lucy. Instantly my heart began to ache for the poor animal. The dog didn't even have a collar and appeared to be a stray.

"We have to help it!" In insisted, and of course Skeppy agreed. I picked her up and she was extremely cold. She appeared to only be very old, for sure older than Rat and Rocco. The dog seemed to be a Labradoodle the size of a Maltese, which was an extremely funny coincidence.

(The dog):

"Awh poor baby!" I said as we dried her

"Awh poor baby!" I said as we dried her. We checked all over, but there was no sign of fleas or disease. The Malti-Doodle was very skinny, and a few of her ribs were showing.

"Let's name her Elora!" Skeppy said as he brushed her hair, "It's one of the rarest names, and she is rare because she's practically a perfect mix between our two dogs, I mean, it's just so strange!"

"Sounds good to me! But who is going to keep Elora?" I asked him, this was for sure going to be the hardest decision for us.

"You should!" Or... not. Skeppy continued, "Rocco doesn't really like other dogs all that much, and he might pick on a smaller dog."

"Lucy would be glad to have a friend around," I admitted, "And hey, what's one more dog? It's like one extra upload a month to pay for her kibble," I laughed, "I suppose it just depends if they get along. I mean, we can't just bring Elora to the shelter!"

"You're so right! Let's go introduce the dogs to each other after she finishes eating," Zak said.

"Ok, sounds good to me."

A bit of sniffing later, and they were all passing around a squeak ball like they'd known each other forever. Confident we could leave the trio alone, we both left the room.
