Her Faithful Pawn (2)

He felt like he is restricted by an invisible chain holding him down from his will ever since his return to the mortal realm. Undoubtedly that it's one of the side effects of the unaccomplished deal between the six-eared demon and the demoness. Nonetheless, he knew that running away won't be a permanent solution to his problem. The never-ending whispers of the wicked demoness still rang in his ears from the moment he escaped from his imprisonment.

The whispers start by gently guiding him to free her from her tomb. But due to his disobedience. He tossed the key that would lead to the cursed demoness's freedom and walked away. Making the gentle whispers turn into shrill shouting from the angry bone demon. All that he could do is ignore the demoness squawking. His freedom was only temporary. It didn't last long before the demoness got freed by the foolish bull demon clan. They cannot fathom the great danger they had released upon the world.

He was forced once again to choose a side in a war he don't want to participate in. To pay the debt of the deal. He becomes one of Lady Bone Demon's lackeys. Just another pawn in Lady Bone Demon's game. For in exchange freedom from her control. Even with the forces backing the ancient demoness, she still lost the fight. And what had become of those who forced choose to be on her side? They are marked as enemies.

When everything crumbles down like a speck of dust. His eyes weren't on the dying demoness but on her hell hound. The former chief of war paled up at the sight, of his mistress's demise. A rare look on the ebony-haired man's face. He was expecting the man to fight like a bloodthirsty demon after losing his commander. But no, the man runs away from the battlefield. And Macaque also did the same, he runs away.

He runs back to his home. Technically it looks like a small junkyard in the mountain than a home. Located far from the city but this is a place he chooses to reside in. Away from the chaos. Away from the bastard, Sun Wukong. And he got lots of things that he could recycle here. Save up more money. And not to mention the serenity. But like always luck isn't on his side.

Lady Bone Demon's hell hound appeared late at night with a fruit basket covered by a blue fabric in one of his hands. The previously neat ebony haired combed to the back is now messy like a bird's nest. The man's blue eyes shine with a glint of irritation. And his suit is wrinkled. Macaque quickly gets into a fighting stance, can't be too careful when it comes to the unpredictable man. "Why are you here? I already paid my debt." the black-furred demon glared at the man.

"Your debt isn't finished yet, you still owe our Lady." The man hissed at the demon.

"There's no our Lady. That's your lady. And my debt is paid with my contribution." He argued. "You were there, you saw it. Don't think that I didn't know you were spying on me during my task of retrieving the rings." He spat.

The former chief of war smirked, "Didn't you feel it? The restraining feeling. It's weaker than before but it's there.".

"She is dead!!" he shouted. He is unwilling to be bound again to a wicked demoness like Lady Bone Demon. She only brings him pain and suffering, in his life. "But a portion of herself survived." the man told the demon.

The former chief of war lifted the basket and pull the small blanket a little to reveal a tuft of ebony hair before slowly revealing the baby's face. The six-eared demon stared at the infant. "You slept with that woman?!" Macaque can't help but shout. Waking up the tiny infant in the basket.

The ebony-haired man grab a pebble from the ground and throw it at the monkey's head, "Don't be outrageous!!" the man shouted angrily at the other demon's assumption about his relationship with his mistress.
