(This book is based on Season 2 of the Netflix show "Bridgerton" if you've seen it you will recognize alot, basically Steve is Anthony and Eddie is Kate, I am adding my own things it's half mine and half things from the show, I'm also having to rewrite alot so I'm definitely not claiming everything here as my own ideas, just writing some things that happen in season 2 along with my own ideas.. enjoy)

Steven Harrington was at his home meeting with potential wife's, he had no interest in any of them and it frustrated him so, they all seemed too boring and plain, they all said the same things to him trying to please him.

He would ask them what they wanted to do in their life, what were their goals?, their dreams, did they want kids? They always answered the same.

He put on a fake smile. "Ok thank you, I'll write to you soon with my thoughts" he said fake smiling at the lady.

She immediately thought that was a good sign and got up cheerfully. "Ok, my lord" she said bowing before walking out, he rolled his eyes in annoyance as she left. "God they are all the same" he said upset.

He was also annoyed by the gossip writer in town. "Lady Whistledown" she called herself, constant lies and gossip were being spread thanks to her, though she hadn't hadn't heard from since the last season, he hoped she wouldn't dare publish again.

All the ladies loved the gossip especially the mother's, it gave them something to do and made then feel young again.

Thankfully she was the last lady to visit him for the day so he wouldn't have to worry about women before attending tonight's ball, though then girls would be lining up to dance with him.. mothers would be smothering him, practically begging him to marry their daughters.

He sighed and got up, heading to leave since his best friend's Roxana and Vivienne, would be getting ready to meet the queen to see if either of them get picked to be the diamond, though neither of them cared to be the diamond it was just a thing all girls eventually had to do..just like wearing corsets.

Steven went outside to a carriage that was already prepared for him courtesy of his staff.. his two friends were already inside waiting. "Thank you sir" Steven said nodding to the man who bowed as Steven got in the carriage, shutting the door behind him.

They set off to the presentation and Steven started thinking about getting married. "My task this season cannot be exceptionally difficult... Hastings did it after all how hard can it be?" Steven said. "Ah.. spoken with such feeling too" Roxana said jokingly as she put her hand to her chest, pouting her lip.

Vivienne started giggling. "I do not need feeling!" He defended. "What I need is what I have.. and that is a list" He said as Roxana rolled her eyes. "Tolerable, dutiful, suitable enough hips for childbearing.. and at least half a brain" he said annoyed.

"And that last part is not so much a requirement but a preference, in fact" Steven said, Roxana looked at him like he was mad and Vivienne nodded looking off to the side with her eyes wide.

They arrived after a bit and his door was opened for him by one of the queen's guards. "Hello lord Harrington" the guard said bowing, he nodded to the guard as he walked in, the girls followed him before going to get ready to meet the queen.
