It was a new day
"Does Miss Edwina return your affection?" Roxana asked Steven. "Not yet.. she would have if it weren't for-" "the brother.. Mm yes he is quite handsome" Roxana said teasing Steven, he rolled his eyes.
"He is rather thorny I take it?" Roxana asked him. "Indeed!" Steven immediately said. "Though he need not trouble me.. every rose does have its thorn, after all" he said.

Edward closed the door to his living room after interviewing another potential husband for Edwina. "Mister Sharma, am I to be kept at this threshold all day?" A man ask waiting outside the room with flowers for Edwina, Edward glanced at the long line of men there.
"Lumley's already had an inordinate amount of time with her" another man stated as Edward smiled in amusement at their frustration. "That is because my sister is so enraptured with him at the moment" Edward said placing his hands behind his back.
"And you wouldn't want me to interrupt your discourse when it is your turn, would you? Edward said smirking. "I say we heed the young lady, and wait with the grace our Hostess affords us" Steven shouted walking up the stairs towards them, Edward's smug smile faded.
"Thank you, lord.." Edward stopped not knowing his name still. "Harrington" Steven said with a smug smile as he walked up to him, Edward sighed already annoyed. "I'm afraid you're much too late, my Lord, you now find yourself at the back of a very, very considerably long queue" Edward said, trying to get rid of Steven.
Steven fake smiled and grabbed Edward's arm gently pushing him off to the side. " I wish to escort Miss Edwina to the races this afternoon" he stated. "My sister already has an escort this afternoon" Edward said.
"Tomorrow then" Steven said. "She's engaged tomorrow too" Edward said, his smug smile returning, as Steven grew more annoyed. "And the day after?" Steven questioned. "Now that I think of it, she may be free..." Edward said. "Aha!" Steven said.
"After December.. unless, of course, she is on her honeymoon by then" Edward said, smiling big. "Steven laughed at Edward's cockiness. "Did I say something funny?" Edward asked. "I believe you did" Steven said lowly as he looked Edward up and down quickly.
"What is funny, my Lord, is you here now, after what I overheard the other night-" "What you overhead was not meant for your ears" Steven said interupting Edward.
"But also, in addition to everything I have now read of you, your dubious and libertine reputation goes before you" Edward said. "No intrusions, Harrington! End of the queue" one of the men in line shouted. Steven stared at Edward as Edward smiled.
The other men started talking in agreement. Edward walked away from Steven shutting the door to the living room as Steven turned and gave Edward a fake smile before he shut the door.

Vivienne and Roxana were at Vivienne's house in her living room as Vivienne read a paper from Lady Whistledown. "Is that lady Whistledown your reading?" Roxana asked. "I thought you didn't like her. "Do not discourage her Roxana, maybe she will be interested in what Lady Whistledown has to say about this seasons eligible bachelors" her mother said.
Vivienne rolled her eyes. "I cannot think of any cleverer way to say this, but no" Vivienne said as Roxana snickered, her mother glared at them. "Vivienne you need to focus on finding happiness, Roxana assist me here, Vivienne could find that with someone else, could she not?" She asked.
Vivienne and Roxana glanced at each other. "Oh I uh- I guess she could.." Roxana said looking away.
