9th Doctor x Reader one shots

The Wrath of a Time Lord: pt 3

Your eyes snapped open and you shot up out of bed gasping for air. You stood for a moment but then collapsed to the floor gripping your sides. It hurt like hell. After a moment you got familiar with your surroundings. You were in a hospital room. A nurse ran in and helped you back into the bed.

"Hello my name is Stefanie and I'm a nurse. Can you tell me your name?"

"Y/n Y/l/n. Where am I?"

"You're at the Royal Hope Hospital in London. You have severe burns on your sides but they were already partially treated when you were brought in. You should be able to return home in a couple days. Are there any family members we need to contact?

"No I'm fine but did a tall man with a buzz cut and big ears bring me in?"

"Um yes but he didn't leave a name and he paid for all medical expenses."

"I don't care about that where is he? Is he still here?"

"I'm afraid not he left about an hour ago right after we got you in this room"

You stood up and started taking off everything you were hooked up to

"Um I'm sorry but you can't leave until you're discharged. If you don't get proper treatment-"

"Did he say where he was going? Did you see which way he went?"

"No but-" you didn't hear the rest. You were already walking out the door. You made sure the Hospital gown was tied in the back and you walked out of the hospital. They tried to stop you, but despite how much pain you were in, no one could hold you back. You walked around all over the place and asked everyone about a blue box. No one had seen it. Not that they would tell you anyway, you looked kinda crazy walking around in a hospital gown.

You searched for about an hour when you finally saw it hidden in an alleyway. You were about to pass out again from all the pain but you managed to make it to the door. It was locked but the TARDIS recognized you and opened the door for you. You walked in and leaned on the railing to steady yourself while you caught your breath

"DOCTOR! I KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE" you hobbled over to the console before he slowly walked around the corner.

"How did you get in? I took your key with me."

"You left me"

"It's for your own good. Now let's get you back to the hospital."

"No I'm staying right here. Why did you leave me there?"

"Like I said for your own good now seriously we need to go ba-"

"What kind of bullshit is that?" You interrupted "You were seriously just going to dissappear from my life because of one dalek ship?"

"Look what they did to you! You could have died! You just had to go and get yourself caught as usual!" Now that hurt. You didn't mean to. You were just trying to help. You didn't want to make things harder on him you just wanted him safe.

"I'm leaving to protect you. I can't lose anyone else to them, especially you! Just forget about me live a normal life."

"Are you serious? How could I ever forget about you? About all of this? I don't care that they hurt me! I don't care that it's dangerous! I knew it would be when I ran away with you! And I'd go through it a thousand times over again if I could stay with you."

He couldn't even look you in the eye. It couldn't face you after what he did. You knew it wasn't his fault but he blamed himself. He can't stand himself for letting you get hurt. Hes just so angry "Just..... get off my ship. Now."

He ushered you to the door and went to open it for you but it wouldn't even budge. He pulled on it again and again but it just wouldn't open. "What the hell is wrong with you?" He kicked the door out of frustration and the TARDIS started moving herself and she materialized into empty space before completely turning off. "No wait! I'm sorry I shouldn't have kicked you old girl"

"Doctor....... I'm sorry I got caught. I didn't mean to. I only wanted to help" you said tearing up.

He paused. "It's not your fault love. It's mine and that's why I have to leave you. I can't let you get hurt again, or worse." He said finally looking at you. His voice was shakey and quiet and you can see the pain, sadness, and anger swirling in his eyes. But there was also love, and adoration.

You brought your hands up to cup the sides of his face and he closed his eyes and melted into your touch.

"You know for someone so old you're really stupid sometimes" you pinched his cheek

"Oi what was that for??" He said rubbing the side of his face.

"Did you really just ask me that question?"

"Yeah good point"

You walked over to the console and leaned back on it getting serious again. "You had two hours to dissappear. Why didn't you?"

He didn't answer. He just looked at his feet.

"You don't really want to leave me do you?"

He stayed silentfor a moment."Of course I don't. Who would?" He scoffed at himself "You're the most amazing person I've ever met in the entire universe and I just couldn't do it. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't leave without you."

For some reason you couldn't wrap you brain around what he said. He said he loved you back on the ship but you thought he was just being emotional under pressure. He would have said it about anyone in that situation. Right?

"Why? I'm no one special I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when we met what's so great about me? I just get in the way all the time. I do nothing but cause trouble.... maybe you should just leave me...." the entire situation was getting to you and messing with your head. You started spiraling further down the more you thought about it. "You were right before... I don't know what I was thinking."

"Hey don't you dare say that. I won't leave you because I love you. I have for so long." We walked up to you looking straight into your eyes. "I've loved you since the day I met you. And I've loved you more and more every day since. And when I saw what they did to you..... I hated myself for letting that happen. I know you'd be better off without me but I don't want to go another day without you. I know it's selfish of me but I'm never letting you out of my sight again"

You just stared at him utterly speechless. He loved you. You couldn't form words properly or even really react you were so happy "you... love me?"

"Obviously? Did you hear what I just said?"

"I did I was just checking" you grabbed him by his jacket and pulled him down to your lips and kissed him as passionately as you possibly could then pulled away.

"I love you t-" You didn't even get to finish your sentence before he smashed his lips to yours wrapping his arms around your lower back pressing against you.

You pushed him back just a little "careful with the goods sweetheart I'm still recovering"

" oooh im so sorry let's get you to the med room." He grabbed you by the hand pulling you behind him as he always does.

You couldn't be more happy. The Doctor was yours and you were his. And he was a  better boyfriend than you ever imagined.
