I had just walked in to my mates territory for the lunch date we had all planned. I had been running around our village all morning helping the hunter's and checking up on our hospital wing for any supplies they might have needed. I had to check the fields and do a stocktake on the crop.
My mom was practically over the moon when I told her I was having lunch with my mates, and she even went so far as to pick my outfit and braid my hair in a long fishtail braid. You'd think she was the one having lunch with them. But it was kind of nice talking to her about it all, my concerns and worries The awkwardness especially.
My dad has been questioning me about the boys and when he'll get to meet them as my mates and not the neighbouring alphas, but I put up a boundary. They were my mates and I'd like to get to know them first, before I got my parents involved.
I barely had the time of day to be able to see them and the fact I had a constant craving to be around them didn't help either. We had spent most of the evening together but often I was whisked away, or they were since it was their party.
It was never for long though, Jungkook, Jimin and even Jin would run off to come find me as soon as they had a free chance. It was adorable really and I'd already become fond of all seven of them. The awkwardness had subsided a lot, but it was still there. It didn't change the fact I was still a nervous wreck.
"There's my little mate." Yoongi chirped happily as he walked up to me after leaving the little fruit stall he was at. I smiled, nodding to him in acknowledgement.
"Here I am." I sighed, peeking in to the bag of fruit he bought as he escorted me to their house. A warm, comforting feeling spread throughout my chest at his mint scent, feeling as if it were consuming me but in the best way possible.
"Well don't sound so happy." Yoongi let out sarcastically, a teasing smile on his face when he noticed the half-hearted glare, I was sending him.
"I'm just a little tired, sorry." I mumbled, feeling slightly shameful that he got the impression I wasn't happy to be here. I was more than happy; I was ecstatic to have lunch with my mates and get to know them some more. But I was exhausted, I tried to my best to wash the feeling away so my other mates didn't feel as if I wasn't happy to be here or see them.
"I'm pulling your leg, rough morning at the village?" Yoongi asked as we walked past several huts and houses. Sparks went off in me again when I felt his hand brush mine, it was taking everything in me to not just grab his hand and hold it.
It was an odd feeling being around my mates, before I had met them I had been entirely self controlled. I was built that way, taught myself to be that way especially when I was to be alpha. If I let every little thing affect me or sway me, I would never make it. Yet with my mates I felt everything but in control, I felt like I was slowly becoming undone around them.
"You could say that." I mumbled, following him towards the front door of a massive house. It was really big, and I could understand why, seven people in a small house would not be ideal.
But the house looked big enough to fit an entire pack. It looked to be two stories max, with big windows in the front of the house. It was painted a creamy sort of colour with an oak door, it looked amazing from the outside and even better inside.
"She's here!" Yoongi yelled as soon as he opened the door, the sound of chaos breaking out. It sounded like a troop of elephants coming down on the house. I could hear yelling and shouting, shoving each other.
"We'll talk once everything calms down, welcome to our home darling." Yoongi grinned, chuckling to himself as he walked off after noticing the blush creep up on my face.
