WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN YOU AND KENMA-SAN?

~flashback~

Kenma slowly woke up with a yawn. Kuroo would have liked to say he was also sleeping, but he wasn't. His fingers tangled up into Kenma's hair and a goofy smile on his face, Kuroo was staring at his best friend's beautiful face. 

Surprisingly, Kenma was smiling as Kuroo's left thumb rubbed on the soft skin of the setter's cheek. He wanted to whisper something, but he didn't know what. He wanted to let Kenma know how he felt because he hadn't been able to the night before.

But kissing him while he was asleep was too much. He didn't want to kiss him until he had his full consent, therefore he held back as best as he could.

But that meant he had to compensate by feeling Kenma's hair on his fingers so he wouldn't go crazy because he wasn't touching him.

Or he would go crazy because he was touching Kenma… who knewz, who cared. He was happy and that's all that mattered at the moment.

Slowly, Kenma groaned and opened his eyes. He closed them back and pressed his head against Kuroo's hand before opening them again.

Their eyes met and for the first time in a while, Kenma smiled. A genuine smile that rushed all of Kuroo's blood to his cheeks. 

"Kenma.." he said softly. "Do you take back your words from last night or will you let me kiss you?" he asked.

Kenma moved back a bit, flustered. "Did I confess?" he asked, knowing the answer already.

"Yeah," Kuroo shrugged. 

"Ugh," Kenma groaned, "Fine, I'll take the kiss," he gave in. "But only if you feel the same way."

Of course Kuroo felt the same way. He had felt that way for way too long to recall.  

He slowly cupped his best friend's face in his hands and slowly leaned in untill their lips were touching.

The feeling was overwhelming and both teenage boys could feel the butterflies in their stomachs. Kuroo waited until Kenma felt comfortable enough to start moving his lips against the other boy's soft ones. 

Kenma responded to the kiss pretty well as he tried his best to keep up with Kuroo's pace, even though it was pretty slow. The feeling in his stomach made his head all fuzzy. He shut his eyes even tighter as his grip on Kuroo's shirt tightened as well.

A few seconds later, they fell apart again, but this time, both had a impressive smile on their lips.

"I love you," Kuroo whispered in Kenma's ear as the setter giggled softly.

"I love you too," he said, shoving his face on Kuroo's arm.
