Just like any other mission, Rowan liked to stare at the scenery. The cheering crowd, the numerous American flags, the music and nature. He flipped through the newspaper he took from the dispenser. November 2nd 1963 was the date John F. Kennedy was rolling through Dallas, Texas. It was the talk of the town, of course! The President's arrival was a big thing in the '60s.

Peering his eyes off of his newspaper, he looked at the grey-haired man who had his back toward Rowan. "You're angling your gun wrong, Five." The man twisted around just to roll his eyes.
"I do not have the..." Five's eyes drifted from Rowan's to the gun, which was angled incorrectly. He shifted it slightly. "The wind must've pushed it."
"Whatever you say, old man," Rowan sighed, going back to his newspaper.
"Old ma- you're older than me!"
"At least I don't look it," Rowan muttered, before groaning and throwing his head back. What he hated about missions was the wait. He didn't have the patience. "Why is this taking so long?" Five hushed him, nudging him with his leg.
"Keep your voice down, Ro. You're gonna get us caught." He turned around, aiming his gun at the President, before putting it down. Rowan furrowed his brow, scratching at his beard.
"Five? What're you doing?" he watched as Five stood beside him in the empty lot.

The shorter man clenched his hands into tight fists, a faint blue light circling them. A miniature portal started to form, and the breeze around them picked up into a strong wind. Making something as small as that drained Five, which made Rowan grow concerned. "Five?"
"Little help?" Five held out his calloused hand for Rowan to grasp.
"You're doing this now? What about the contract?" After a long pause, Five finally responded.
"Do you trust me, Rowan?" he stared at him for a moment before giving in with a sigh and grabbing onto his hand, focusing on the energy surrounding them, channelling it all to Five. The blue, now teal, orb grew larger and larger. It was like seeing through a crystal ball. There were five figures staring up at the two - Rowan couldn't see them thanks to his poor vision and refusal to wear his glasses. The wind picked up speed before a red shape came hurtling toward them, both of them dodging it effortlessly, only to realise it was a fire extinguisher. Rowan craned his head to look at Five in confusion and concern, who looked back at him with a sigh, knowing how dense his family could be even from not seeing them for around 50 years. Since the hard wind made it hard to hear, he yelled out,
"What the hell are we doing?!" Five just grinned.
"We're saving the world!"
"Now? I thought we agreed on later!"
"Well now is later, dipshit!" And then they jumped through - well, Five jumped through, dragging Rowan in behind him. Rowan was hoping he wouldn't regret this decision, as he knew it would cause some chaos within the Commission - however, he knew that if he was with Five, they would overcome any turmoil that would be thrown at them.

The jump through time winded Rowan as he fell on his back, unlike Five, who fell face first.
"Does anyone else see little Number Five and a boy in a trench coat or is that just me?"
"Boy?" Rowan muttered, comfused on his change of voice but blamed it on his delirium. Standing up and staring at the five figures he had seen moments prior, were now clear as day as Five pulled himself up. He darted his eyes to Five, seeing a little boy clad in the same clothes. It was Five, a younger version, but it was Five nonetheless. Rowan glared at the now younger boy, going to scratch his beard that was no longer there. Panicked, the two looked between themselves.

"Shit." was all they could muster.

As the Hargreeves sat around the dining table, Five placed down a chopping board, preparing to make a sandwich, while Rowan leaned on a chair nearby.
"What's the date? The exact date?" Five sighed, grabbing the loaf of bread.
"The 24th," Vanya replied, though it sounded like more of a question than an answer.
"Of what?"
"March." Five paused for a moment, calculating.
"Good."
"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened? Who he is?" Luther asked, referring to Five's mystery partner.
"Your brother-in-law," Rowan spoke, giving an innocent smile to the family, who just stared between the two in shock. "Rowan."
"Oo, British!" Klaus giggled, as Rowan gave him a confused smile.
"Congrats? Look, it's been 17 years." Luther stood up, towering over Five, who inched closer to him, rather than backing away.
"It's been a lot longer than that," he scoffed, spatial jumping behind the man to grab a packet of marshmallows, which Rowan took as soon as he set it down.
"Where'd you go?" Diego turned to him.
"The future. It's shit, by the way."
"Called it!" Klaus called out, raising a finger.
"How did Rowan get there?" Vanya questioned.
"I have powers too." All the Hargreeves, apart from Five, all stopped to stare at him once more, astonished.
"What?" Allison asked, somewhat surprised.
"What?"
"You're like us?" she pushed, Vanya looking down at her hands.
"Sure," he shrugged, shoving a marshmallow in his mouth. "There's a shitload of us." The siblings all looked between themselves, taking in the fact that there could be thousands of them, before Five interrupted their train of thought.
"I should've listened to the old man," Five sighed. "You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." He paused for a moment after setting down the peanut butter, looking up at his family. "Nice dress."
"Oh, well, danke!" Klaus smiled, swinging the tassels of the skirt.
