I awoke in my bed and my head explored the memories from last night. I giggled to myself mentally and turned around to face Connor. But the space on my bed was empty. My wolf whimpered and I groaned until I heard my bathroom door open. Connor stepped out with the towel hanging low on his hips.
"Miss me much?" He chuckled sitting down on the bed.
"Maybe." I sighed getting up. I wrapped the blanket around me and Connor kissed my cheek.
"Uh huh. Sure." He laughed. I rolled my eyes and he got up to get dressed. I tried my best not to look, but how can I not?
"You're gawking again Bay." Connor turned and looked at me while smirking.
"Am not!" I protested getting my own clothes. Sparks flew across my stomach and I knew it was Connors arms that snaked around my waist. My wolf howled with joy. He trailed kisses on my jawline and then he kissed my mark. I shuddered involuntarily and I felt Connor smirk against my skin.
"I hope last night was good for you." Connors voice rang. It was husky and I could tell he had lust in it.
"Nah. I had better." I joked and then was thrown on my bed again.
"Then let's try again until I get it right." He smirked but before I could say no he kissed me and I practically melted.
'Hey. We need to talk.' A voice rang through my mind link and I groaned, pushing Connor off. He fell beside me and looked at me confused.
"Duty calls." Was all I said as I got up and got changed.

I had on my 'badass' crop top and my high waisted shorts. My black chucks padded along the grass as I walked over to the pack house. Connor was already there but I took my sweet time. My wolf sighed happily at the memories with Connor. I pushed my blue hair back and swung open the door.
"Finally you're here!" River screamed running to me.
"Stop running! You could harm the baby!" I grabbed her and sat her down on the nearest seat.
"No time for sitting! We have to plan Bryan's birthday party tonight!" River said in a hushed tone.
"Oh yeah. Come on let's go to the diner. Bryan won't be there today." I nodded my head and helped her up as we exited the house and into her car.
"I could drive." River huffed from the passenger seat and I playfully rolled my eyes.
"But I can too. And I love driving. You're lucky you're pregnant. If not I would be speeding right now." I laughed and River laughed with me. It suddenly became quiet.
"I sorta wish I wasn't pregnant." She muttered but I heard her clearly.
"Why? You always dreamed of being a mom." I looked at her before going back to the road.
"Because... I can't be free anymore. I want to go back to our lives before this whole mate crap honestly." River sighed. I nodded slowly and just shrugged.
"Something's in store for you River. What I have to find out but I know something is gonna happen. Whether its good or bad." I admitted and River nodded before letting out a gasp.
"What? Do you need something? Are you in labor?" I bombarded her with questions and I held her stomach. There were little kicks.
"He's kicking." River breathed and I laughed a little.
"Hey little boy! Oh I hope you're being nice to mom." I spoke while leaving my hand on her stomach but still looking at the road. River smiled and rubbed her belly. We finally made it to the diner and I parked close to the door for River. We walked into the diner and were seated immediately thanks to River being pregnant.
"So. What do you think Bay? What should the theme be?" River rubbed her hands together while staring at the menu.
"I don't know. Regular colors? Bryan really is just a simple mer- I mean guy." I corrected myself and I picked what I wanted to eat. Since River has been here before she waved her hand and a waiter came. He looked about 17 years old and when he saw me he smirked.
"Hey. I'm Aiden." He held out his hand and I slowly shook it.
"Congratulations. You have a name." I replied smiling.
"Fiesty. I like that." He commented getting his notepad and pen ready. River glared at him but told her what she wanted and I told him my order. He nodded and left to put the order in.
"Stupid humans." River muttered.
"They just don't know." I laughed shaking my head.
"Here. This is what I want from you." Aiden handed me something then walked off. I hesitantly opened the folded paper.
"Call me 765-248-9201" I snorted and stuffed it in my pocket while rolling my eyes. Soon our food came and he winked at me. I just sipped on my drink and ate my food hoping to ignore him.
"So the colors are red and blue." I decided and River just nodded her head.
"Let's go to the store." River tossed her napkin at the table and stood up. I put the money on the table and quickly left before that Aiden kid came again. We left to the store and bought all the things we needed.
'Hey Connor. Make sure Bryan isn't there we need to set up for his birthday at the beach house.' I mindlinked Connor while driving to the beach house.
'OK babe. Me and Adam are at the sports bar with him already.' Connor informed me.
'Yeah. It better be a Sports bar. Or else me and River will kill both of you.' I laughed.
'We would never.' Connor chuckled. My thoughts when he said that went right to when he cheated on me with Ariana. Well actually, he didn't really cheat on me because we weren't exactly together. But he knew we were still mates and did it anyways. I just shrugged it off and thanked the gods that I had my mind protected by my mental barriers. Since Connor and I completed the mating process we could feel what each others feel and go through their mind. Since I am extremely powerful I can block my mate from those things. Only if I'm strong enough at the moment I need to.
"Connor, Adam, and Bryan are at a sports bar so we are good." I notified River as we pulled in the driveway.
"Good. Let's go." River nodded and got out of the car. 5 minutes of complaining I finally won the argument and took all the bags into the house. We started getting everything ready for Bryan's party when some other she-wolfes volunteered to help and made the food. Me and River were going to make the cake when River started laughing.
"What?" I asked reading the cake box directions.
"The last time you tried to make a cake it exploded." She laughed. I rolled my eyes and ignored her. This cake had to be perfect.
