CHAPTER 11

The party was set up and all we had to do was wait for the guests to arrive. And by guests I mean Connor, Adam and Bryan. Everyone else was here.
"3 fucking hours and no ones here yet." River mumbled while hobbling into the bathroom. She was constantly rubbing her belly and I'm starting to get worried.
"You okay?" I ask sitting on the counter.
"Honestly, no. My stomach has been killing me lately." River admitted and I jumped off the counter and rushed towards her.
"What do you mean?!" I pulled out a hair and sat her down.
"I mean pain genius!" She snapped but then her eyes softened. "Sorry. Its hormones."
"It doesn't bother me. Cause I know I can be a total bitch too." I held her hand and smiled at her.
"You know what?" She asked grinning.
"Wha-" I was cut off by my phone ringing. I picked it up and looked at the I.D., it was an unknown number. My eyes crinkled in confusion as I answered it.
"Hello?" I held the phone to my ear.
'Hello, is this uh... Bayonetta?' The voice replied almost instantly.
"Yes I am Bayonetta. What's wrong?" I asked biting my lip.
'Well it has to deal with Con-' she started but was cut off when River screamed out in pain. I ran to River and dropped my phone in the process causing it to shatter.
"River are you OK?!" I had to put her in a comfortable position but she continued to hold her stomach and scream out.
"DOES IT LOOK LIKE IM OK?!" She screeched while crying in pain.
"The baby." I whispered.
"WHAT?!?" River shouted while crying in pain.
"The baby! You're going to have the baby! Oh god I don't know how to do this!" I frantically threw my hands in the air and an idea snapped in my mind.
"We're taking you to the hospital." I told her and used my wolf strength to pick her up. Since I was also expiremented on I do have some strength from that also. I picked her up and ran down the stairs and put her in the backseat of my car. I quickly got to the drivers side and started the car, taking off immediately. I ran through red lights and through stop signs. Luckily I was able to put a spell on the whole town to freeze it while I made it to the hospital. What? I just didn't want to deal with drama! When we made it I made time unfreeze and I went to the valet.
"I have a pregnant women ready to give birth." I breathed out and he nodded. Thanks to Connor being Alpha he has 2 hospitals. One for supernatural and one for humans. But humans rarely come and that hospital is placed around the city, which is at the end of his territory. He grabbed a wheelchair and helped me put River on.
"Luna. There is also something else you must know!" The guy urged.
"What?!" I screamed out cause River was holding my hand and it felt as if my knuckles were grinding together.
"SHUT UP AND GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME!" River snapped and we were rushed into a room that was already prepared with doctors and everything.
"I need to call Adam! Foes anyone have a phone?" I hurriedly looked around but one of the doctors looked at me while the others were getting River ready for delivery.
"Do you mean Adam, Bryan, and Alpha Connor?" He asked and I looked at him suspiciously.
"Yes." I hesitantly answered.
"Luna, I thought someone called you. They are already here in the hospital-" he was about to continue until I cut him off.
"What? Where?" I ran out the room and looked around. The boys weren't in the waiting room.
"Luna, they were badly injured in the car accident." He reported and I stopped in my tracks.
"What?" I slowly turned and my face held pure confusion.
"They were in a car crash minutes before you came here. They were rushed here and are undergoing surgery and treatment as we speak." He patted my shoulders and I heavily reathed out. That would be the sharp pains River got. Why didn't I feel anything?
"BAYONETTA!" River cried out and I had to drop my thoughts on the guys and run to her. No matter how much persiaiting to any of the doctors I wouldn't be able to get into the surgical room to be with them. I had to worry about my cousin giving birth to my nephew. River held my hand again while the doctors instructed her to push the baby out. Screaming, she was able to push the baby out. Sweat sparkled on her forehead and her pink hair stuck to her face. Her grey eyes were squeezed shut as she breathed heavily.
"Its a handsome boy." The doctor gave him to River and she held him close.
"You look just like your daddy." She whispered to him and kissed his nose. I signed happily but then remembered the boys.
"River.." I trailed off but she held out her arms.
"Here hold him." She smiled. I carefully took the newborn and gently rocked him.
"Oh. He's so gorgeous." I laughed, tears started to brim my eyes.
"Did you find out what happened to the boys?" She lad her head back down and my face fell.
"Luna, may I?" The doctor held out his hand and I nodded giving him the baby. When they left I sat down in the seat and pulled it closer to Rivers bed.
"The boys... Are here.... They are in the surgery room. They got in a bad car accident." I choked out. A picture of Connor getting surgery popped in my head and a shudder ran through me.
"No! You're lying!" River cried. She tried to get up but I forced her down.
"River you can't get up! You just gave birth!" I argued but she continued protesting.
"No! They're our mates! We can't just let them be like this!" She shot back, tears streaming out of her dark gray eyes.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS FOR ME?! I HAVE NEVER FELT SO HORRIBLE IN MY LIFE!" I snapped, flipping the small table to the left of me. River flinched and whimpered and that's when I realized what I did. A knock came from the door and I looked at the ground.
"Come in." I croaked. The door opened and a new doctor came in.
"Luna, your mate is out of surgery. Would you like to see him?" He asked, his blue mask was lowered to his neck.
"Yes. My cousin River will see Beta Adam as well." I nodded.
"Yes Luna, I will get a well chair for her." The doctor left in search of a wheel chair and I mind linked the other doctor, Tom, to bring my nephew back. The door opened and both Tom and the other doctor came. I helped River into the wheel chair and Tom gave River her baby.
"You're in luck River. Adam is awake." The doctor smiled and River sighed in relief.
"That's excellent!" River laughed. With the help of the doctors we made it to the room and when I saw Connor I wanted to scream. He was laying on the bed with tubes and wires connected to him. His stomach area was wrapped up in gauze along with his right arm. I looked at Adam who was facing the wall.
"Adam." River called out.
"Leave me alone. Please." His voice was raspy. I stood there in shock. Why was he acting like this? Especially towards River?! Adam was the kinda guy who would never ever do this yet he is right now.
"Why?" I asked, my voice a little too forceful.
"Its all my fault. They wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me." He didn't bother to turn.
"Adam. Don't you wanna see our baby?" Rivers voice was so small and petite. Adam turned around to face us. His bruised eyes fell upon his son and a new emotion surged through those green eyes of his. I pushed River towards Adam and he softly grabbed the baby from her arms.
"He's so small." He commented and chuckled slightly.
"He looks like you." River softly smiled and I helped her onto the bed. I ignored their conversation and walked towards Connor. I've never seen him look so defenseless. I pulled up a chair beside his bed and grabbed onto his hand. I didn't feel the sparks. Could it be because of him? Why didn't I feel any of his pain? Why can't I feel the sparks? So many questions ran through my mind. I kissed Connors bruise on his face. He made me change. He helped me changed. He showed me that anger isn't always the answer. He showed me love. He helped me open my heart up. I've never felt so open in my life. Its because of him, buy now I might lose him. Potions. I could use my potions and magic. But I still need answers on what's happening to me. There's only one guy who would tell me that though. And that's Sidorio.
