I arrive at school and park in my class' designated parking section. I'm a little late, but I guess it's a good thing I have study hall first thing in the morning. I sit down at my table and first thing I hear is this.

"So, did you hear about the person who opened a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?" My friend, Jackson, says.

"Yeah. My cousin tried applying for a job as night guard there, but turns out the position was already taken," Another friend of mine, Chase, says.

"Yeah. I heard that the owner's name is actually Fred Fazbear," I say.

"Really? How did you hear this?" Jackson says.

"Oh, uh. I know the night guard there," I say. Hey, I'm not lying.

"Really?" Chase says.

"Uh, yeah," I say.

"Who is it?" Chase says.

"Oh, uh. I, uh. I'm not really good with names," I say.

"Oh. Okay," Chase says. The bell rings and I head to my next class. Throughout the day, everyone is talking about the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Near the end of the day, Chase walks up to me.

"Hey Chase," I say. Chase quickly glances around.

"I know you know the name of the night guard at Freddy's by the way you acted. Who is It?" Chase says.

"Okay. But promise me you won't tell anyone?" I say.

"Uh, sure?" Chase says, nodding.

"Okay. I'm the night guard," I say.

"What!" Chase says.

"Yeah. I, too, was surprised I got a call from them," I say.

"That's awesome! What's it like? Is it like the game?" Chase says.

"What? No. First off, the only audio clue I have on when one of them is coming is when they're in the vents, as far as I know. And their looks. In the game they look cold and dead, how an animatronic should look. But they almost look, alive," I say.

"Whoa. So they are after you?" Chase says.

"I dunno. As far as I know, they are now. And I have a feeling the phone calls won't be the same," I say.

"Ah. Okay," Chase says. The bell rings indicating the end of the school day. "Well, see you later! Good luck with your new job!" Chase says, walking away. I pick up my bag and head out to my car and toss my bag in the passenger seat. I get in my car and drive home. I pull into our driveway and see Mom's car there.

'Oh no. How am I going to tell Mom about my new job at Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria?' I think to myself. After a few seconds of debating with myself, I head into my house and see Mom cleaning the kitchen.

"Oh, Hey, Matthew! How was your day today?" Mom says.

"It was, uh, okay. I'm actually kind of tired," I say.

"Oh. Well, I just want to let you know that I be home until six in the morning. Work called me in late today," Mom says. Six in the morning? Well, that's convenient.

"Really? What time do you start?" I say.

"Eleven tonight," Mom says. Oh. So she'll be gone by the time my shift starts.

"Oh. Okay. Well, I'm going to get some rest," I say.

"Okay," Mom says. I walk to my room and climb in bed. Waking up, I see it's barely light out. I go to check the time on my phone, and see I have a message from Chase.

'Dude! Where are you? Get on the server, ASAP!' Chase sent. I set my phone down and boot my computer up. As quickly as my computer will allow, I pull up our usual game and get on our server source as well.

"What took you so long?" I hear Chase say through his mic.

"I'm sorry! I was asleep," I check to make sure nobody else is on the server. "My first shift took it's toll. What happened?" I say.

"Trolls," Chase says.

"Trolls? That was the big emergency?" I say, a little irritated.

"No. I was kidding about the trolls. But hackers were the problem," Chase says.

"Oh boy. Now I see why that was a problem," I say. Recently, the company that owns this game is holding a contest for small server owners. And very so often, hackers will get on our server and hack into it, and try to change it, but I have a secret line of code in the server's coding to detect changes and notify me or Chase. I usually take care of it, since Chase isn't a good coder yet. But my new job might force Chase to improve his skills.

"Yeah. So how is it at your job?" Chase says, interrupting my thoughts.

"I already said, but I didn't go into much detail. To be honest, they seemed, curious, about me. I have a feeling it was a mistake hiding in the head, as that reminded them of someone, in a bad way," I say, fixing the server's coding from the attack, also adding security.

"Reminded them of someone?" Chase says.

"Yes. They said that he rewired their circuits to where they can't harm any Fazbear property, including the head I was given," I say, finishing up the coding.

"You don't think they were talking about," Chase starts.

"If they were talking about him, I'm dead," I say.

"Who knew the Purple Man would be real," Chase says.

"Well, they did mention a previous location," I say. Our conversation is interrupted as one of the first, original members get on the server.

"Hey, guys!" He says.

"Afternoon, Mike," Chase says. I look at my phone and am surprised at the time, 10:50.

"Hey, I've got to to go. See you tomorrow," I say.

"Whoa! It that late already?" Chase says.

"Yeah," I say.

"See you, Matt," Chase says. I close the game and code and shut my computer down. Mom walks in the room as the computer shuts down.

"Hey. I've got to head to work. See you tomorrow, Matthew," Mom says.

"Goodbye, Mom," I say. Mom walks out and heads outside to her car. I decide to get a lunch packed up for tomorrow. I rest up until my phone alarm goes off.

'Well, here goes another night of trying to survive against animatronics.' I think to myself.
