Hey sorry this has taken ages to write I just didn't know what to write next and it probably wasn't worth the wait again. Anyway this chapter is from Thomas' point of view.

"Mum, why is Charlotte so perfect? I mean I'll never be good enough for her"

"It's because she has wonderful parents who love her deeply, and guess what"

"What?"

"So do you and that's why you are good enough for Charlotte, and like your father said you don't want the love of your life falling for someone else do you?"

"So you think I'm good enough for Charlotte?"

"Well if your not then who will be?"

"Stop trying to bring up my self esteem mum, I know I'm not up to Charlotte's standard and I feel that she said she loves me because I said I would have to kill her and she didn't want to die so young."

"If she really didn't like you then she wouldn't have helped you clear up afterwards would she?"

"I suppose not" Thomas just managed to squeeze in before his father came angrily stomping down the stairs.

"Why am I not included in this conversation?"

"Because you were upstairs at the time dad"

"Thomas was just telling me about Charlotte" his mother said softly to try to stay on the good side of her husband while he was being angry. He usually got angry at the servants and maids but it didn't last long

He had been stomping and ordering everyone around an awful lot recently; actually every since Charlotte came round. Everyone thought that he was happy for the sweet little couple but obviously not. And then as soon as he was told by one of the maids that his best friend wasn't 'in the best condition' he just shrugged it off like it was nothing.

"Dad why are you acting like it's no big deal, your best friend is dying and you don't even care" Thomas said, well shouted at his father

"I do care Thomas just recently we haven't been as close and I'm trying to be strong"

Lies, lies all terrible lies. Thomas knew that his father was hiding something, all he had to do was find out what it was, which was easier said then done.

"Of course he cares Thomas" Thomas' mother interrupted "Just if he started showing our people and other countries that he cares for another countries king then they might start to see him as an easy target and that wouldn't be good for anyone."

"Okay, I understand, sorry Dad" Muttered Thomas even though he knew that being a strong king was the case, he knew something was up, he just knew it "I'm going to go to my room and write to Charlotte again"

"Okay sweetie" replied Thomas' mother before Thomas scolded his mother for calling him sweetie. She knew that he hated that name she just used it to wind him up.

Thomas searched around his room for pens and paper but all he came across was a half drawn plan of Charlotte's castle for when she wants to escape.

"This could be useful in the future" Thomas said proudly with a sneaky grin. He spotted the pen that she used and some left over paper from their conversation and started drafting yet another letter:

Dear Charlotte,

I know that I wrote to you recently but I am still really worried about my fathers' behaviour recently, I just don't know what has come over him. He's fired so many maids and cooks - he even fired Henry the head chef who has been with us from the very beginning, he only fired him because apparently he didn't order potatoes with his roast dinner - silly I know. Anyway I hope you got my letter and are trying to write back to me because I don't like people who ignore me. I would write more in my letters but we haven't been able to do much recently due to my father hating everyone, he keeps nearly hitting people and hurting them. Mother also said that he is just not caring because he wants to remain strong for the country, which normally I know would be the right thing to do but father has never been like this before, he's even told us that friends and family should come before the country but only in desperate or certain circumstances. Anyway sorry that I ranted on for so long I just had to get this out to someone who is not in this household because they would most likely just say what my mother said: 'He's doing it for the country'. Yeah, yeah, yeah as if I'll believe that. Anyway I will probably write soon as I can't talk to anyone round here. I'll miss you until then

Your one and only true love Thomas xxx

Thomas' mother over heard Thomas chuckle after reading his letter out but she wasn't sure whether he laughed because he was pleased he had written it or because he wanted to play a game with Charlotte. She hoped that it was the first as she didn't want to see her son as a player, and the country wouldn't accept a player for a king.

Oooooh is Thomas as good as Charlotte thinks that he'll be? Comment what you think please I would love to hear from you. (Remember comments and votes are highly appreciated)
