Still Thomas' pov

"So where did you find it?"
"Um... Over here sir" one police officer pointed to a spot on the ground next to a tree.
"Okay thank you officers, if you need my assistance again don't be afraid to ask."
"Same in return sir." And then he left me alone with my thoughts. A moment later I noticed the man I had ordered to kill Charlotte the first time we got here staring at me. He didn't move, I don't even think that he blinked.

"What do you want?" I asked him, well shouted at him but most people are taught that it's rude to stare.

"I said WHAT DO YOU WANT?" He flinched. "You know who I am and I know who you are so why don't you talk?" Still no comment. This was getting infuriating "Damn you!" I walked over to him and he turned around "Don't you dare walk away from me, if you do that you die." He stopped turning but he still didn't speak. "Okay then, you are obviously not in the mood to talk today. When I hired you, I thought that you wouldn't shut up, but then again when I hired you I thought you would actually get the job done. Now however it looks like I've got to do the dirty work myself.

"That's why I came here"

"Oh, so you do speak?"

"I came here to finish the job"

"And what makes you think that I will let you attempt to help me?" I took another step towards him. "If you didn't mess up in the first place then I wouldn't be having this conversation with you and I would be a happy man."

As I turned around he pulled out a gun and simply said "Don't you dare walk away from me, if you do that you die."

Great this is just what I needed. I'm trying to find out where my stupid so-called wife got to and then he turns up just to show me that Charlotte isn't the most stupid person in the world. He is.

"You really think that I am going to let you talk to me like that?"

"Well you are going to have to let me aren't you, seeing as you're the one with a gun to their head?" I checked my pockets for my gun. "Did you not feel me take it? You really think I would make such a school boy error - using my own gun to kill someone. If you don't know guns can be traced, that's why I usually use a dagger."

"Why are you not using it now?"

"Why would I use a dagger if I could use a gun that wasn't mine?" He didn't even shift when talking about killing me. It was like it came naturally to him like it did to me. "Don't tempt me to use it"

"Am I that obvious?"

"Yes, but that's enough questions for now. I better take you somewhere quieter." He didn't give me enough time to argue before he shoved a muddy and blood clotted brown bag over my head.

________________________________

"Alright boys open up the doors" The same man who had kidnapped me. Without a second delay some people had opened the doors, dragged me out into another building and taken the bag off my head; I could finally breathe some nearly fresh air. It wasn't the kidnapping places that are seen in films: a chair in the middle of the room, dark, a single light above the chair, no windows etc. This room was... Light, there were three chairs and a window, there weren't any windows but then it had everything else.

"What are you staring at? Take a seat." If he hadn't kidnapped me to get me here in the first place then I would have thought that his manner was legitimate. I didn't say anything; I just sat down while my hands were taken out of my control and tied behind the chair. "You can speak you know, we won't kill you until you tell us anyway."

I couldn't keep quiet any longer, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"Don't try to play with us, we know what you have and all you have to do is give it to us, or even just tell us where it is." He was beginning to lose his temper over this. I had no idea what they wanted and even if I did then I wouldn't tell them.

"Tell me what you are talking about and then I might give it to you."

"No that would ruin the point."

"What point?"

"I'm the one asking the questions here, not you"

"Ask them then, but if I don't ask questions then I'm not going to be able to tell you much."

"Shall we start with a simple yes or no question?" Before he gave me time to reply he pulled out a picture of my mother from when I was younger. She was beautiful inside and out if she hadn't found out about my true feelings towards Charlotte then she would still be here today. "Did you kill your mother?"

I took a deep breath in "Yes"

"Okay next question, now we know that you can tell the truth" He shuffled around the pictures and added a couple more.

"What's this girl's name?" He showed me a picture of my best friend. As much as I do not form emotional attachments to anyone this girl was different and I wasn't prepared to get her killed just for being alive.

"I don't know her, I've never seen her"

"I thought you were a decent liar considering you managed to persuade everyone that you were grieving your mothers death even though you killed her; not only that but you managed to trick everyone into the fact that you loved Charlotte but that's humans for you isn't it?"

"What?"

"Gullible. And remember I'm asking the questions"

"No, no I'm not lying!" I shouted at him

"Shhhhh" He stood up and slapped me round the face. He took me by the shoulders and stared right into my eyes. I could see his desire to torture me but they weren't quiet dark enough to kill me. "You may not know exactly who I am but I certainly know who you are, now you better start answering my questions the way they should be answered.

"Fine yes I know her but not that well."

"If you want to play a game fine we'll join in but it isn't going to be fun, well not for you anyway" he chuckled along with the men surrounding me.

"So what are the rules for this so called game" I didn't need to ask that one of the men moved to stand next to me with a gun and the other placed what looked like a bomb under the chair that I was sitting on.

"You're not very clever are you?" The men all laughed at me again. This was so annoying. I was so close to finding out where Charlotte was and then these men come and ruin everything for me again! "The rules are: We ask a question to you, if you lie or we think that you are lying the timer of the bomb decreases by seven seconds. If you tell the truth the timer stays the same."

"So what's he here for?" I asked nodding in the direction of the man with a gun.

"He's here in case you attempt to touch the bomb or if you lie three times in a row" He waited for the other men to give him the nod of approval. "Any more questions?"

"Yes, so there's no way that I can get out of this alive?"

"If you prove your worth and tell the truth then before the bomb goes off we can stop it. But if you're going to continue being irritating and lying then no you'll die either way." He looked at his watch "Is that all of your questions?"

"Yeah, one more - What do you want from me?"

"Not what more ... Who?" His lips raised at the edges, the thought of them made him feel better, or could it be the thought of killing them?

Extra long chapter for you guys. Has Thomas got what he deserves? Who do you think the men are after? There are loads of questions but you can ask yourself them and wait for the answers. Got anymore questions comment on the chapter please. Xxxx. Comments, votes etc as usual are appreciated.
