"So what dress do you prefer Charlotte?" My mother asked with stars in her eyes.

"Oh, I don't know they all look so pretty" I answered excitedly

"Ooh what about this one?" One of my bridesmaids suggested

"No, didn't you listen Claire? Charlotte said that she wanted simple and no frills, a modern dress you could say" My mother said getting angry with the wedding shop"

"Why don't you get one made for you?"

"I said that but Charlotte id determined that it will be as normal as possible"

"I've heard that lot's of people like ordinary people get their wedding dress made for them so it's perfect for their big day. After all most people only have one wedding"

"Most people?" I asked inquisitively while Claire suffered the death stare from my mother.

"Um...Well..." Claire said nervously, "Well... you know if someone dies then they may want to get married again"

"Oh"

"But I've also heard that it's not the same the second time round" I heard a sigh of relief from my mother letting Claire know that she said the right thing.

"NO, what's the point in getting a dress made when I think I've found my perfect dress here"

"Where?" "Charlotte where are you?" As she finished her last word I stepped out of the changing room and walked towards her. "Oh my Charlotte, you look gorgeous"

"Like more gorgeous than normal" Claire butted in

"Like I said what is the point of getting a dress made when I found my perfect dress here?"

"There's no point" My mother laughed

"So, how much is it?" Claire asked

"Oh the price doesn't matter if we can't pay then Thomas can" My mother laughed again, what is up with her being so happy all of a sudden it's only a wedding and it's my wedding anyway. As soon as she had finished talking I got changed again into my 'no frills' blue dress. They lady at the counter snatched it out of my mother's hands and from that moment I knew that this wasn't going to go well and so did Claire from the look on her face.

"How dare you snatch my daughters wedding dress from me. Do you even know who I am?" She shouted loud enough for everyone down the street to hear

"No, I'm ever so sorry Madame that shouldn't have happened, you do not need to worry it is not damaged" The woman said trying to make up for what just happened

"I'll be the judge of that shall I?"

"Yes of course you should Madame" My mother inspected the dress and like the lady had said there was no damage on the dress and my mother paid for the dress without another word until she was nearly out of the shop.

"I can't believe the woman didn't know who I was" She said loud enough for her to hear from inside the shop "I mean who doesn't know their own queen?" All three of us just looked inside to stare at the woman who now looked like she was about to flood the room with her tears.

"So we have dress, shoes, veil, flowers, bridesmaid dresses, bridesmaid's shoes and flowers. Do we need anything else?" I asked my mother who was busying herself with finding herself a new dress and shoes. "Mum" I kind of whispered shouted in her ear; loud enough for her to hear me but not loud enough for anyone else to.

"What!" She snapped back in the same voice that I used

"Do we need to get anything else for me or my bridesmaids?"

"No, the only thing we have left to do is get my dress, shoes and hat. Oh and someone needs to check that Thomas has got everything ready" My mother added. "Ooh I'm so excited for your big day! I can't wait"

"Yes you can and like you said it's MY wedding, so I get to decide everything"

"Maybe not everything, I need to choose my own dress"

"Where am I having my wedding?"

"Thomas said to keep that a secret from you" My mother said happily. I still don't know why she is so excited I mean it's my wedding and she's looking forward to it more than I am. I mean I'm happy to be getting married to Thomas it's just I haven't really known him that long. Apparently some normal people take years and years to get to know their partners. I just feel like I don't know him well enough but when I look into his gorgeous green eyes I can tell that everything is going to be okay no matter what we come up against.

"Charlotte?" My mother said while standing right in front of me in a beautiful light blue dress. "I've asked for your opinion once and you know I'm not someone who asks twice"

"Sorry mother I was busy admiring your wonderful choice in dresses"

"So..."

"In other words I love it" I said gleefully

"Good because I'm getting it anyway" She said slipping back into the changing rooms.

"We had better be getting off soon"

"Yes we should especially as Thomas wanted the venue booked for three days time"

"What?" I exclaimed "But we haven't sorted out hair or nails or anything like that yet

"Calm down Charlotte, we still have three days"

"Okay once you're ready we'll go and pick up some hair and make-up magazines if that's okay with you"

"Yes that's fine sweetie, I'm so glad you're finally getting stuck into all of this wedding stuff" As soon as she finished her sentence she came out in her not as beautiful pea green knee height dress with her matching shoes and dress. We brought the dress as I insisted that our security could wait outside or get something to eat. We left the shop knowing that the venue had been booked but I still didn't know where and as everyone knows I hate surprises especially ones that only involve me not knowing. "What's that weirdo doing standing there watching us?"

"Where mother?"

"Over there. Oh he's gone now, or maybe it was just my imagination playing tricks on me again."

"Again?"

"Yeah I saw someone like that when I came out of the shop from getting your dress but when I looked round to tell you he was gone. In fact just like what he did there"

"I think you're a little bit tired mother, shall we go?"

"Yes"
