-Will's perspective-

I spent all night on the design. Jonathan ended up cutting my lights off once it hit around 2 but I worked by the light of my desk lamp. I had created...the perfect flyer.

"JOIN BAND TODAY!" was in bold letters with drawings of instruments around it. It took forever to draw Mike's stupid instrument...but I added it on as well. Maybe he'd appreciate that.

I was currently in the library making as many copies as I possibly could. I loved this old printer. I was surprised it even did any in color. My old school was simply black and white.

Robin was close to me and leaning on the printer. I was glad that she was willing to help me in my endeavor, but I wanted her to take the next step past that. "I dunno, Will...I mean a lot of my time is spent at Scoops...I don't know if I could take on another responsibility of an instrument. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun...I just...isn't that stressful?"

I shook my head slowly. "You'd have me! We'd be on the same instrument!" I slowly brought my bottom lip into a pout before looking up at her "pretty please...?"

Robin started to scrunch her face before she let out a long sigh. "Fine, Wheeler. I'll join...damn you and your puppy dog eyes."

A grin slowly formed as I laughed under my breath. "Works like a charm"

She lightly hit me in the arm before picking up the copies from the printer. There was enough to cover her face as she started to walk out the door.

I was close behind her before the librarian waved her hand to catch my attention.

I slowly made my way over to her desk as I placed the papers down and smiled. "What's up?"

The librarian's eyes widened before sighing and pulling down her glasses to get a better look at me. "What's up...is that you owe me 10 dollars for those copies right there." She brought her ruler and hit the top of the stack with it.

I felt my heart sink as I looked between her and the stack. "It isn't free?"

She slowly shook her head before extending her hand towards me. "Color copies have a price, kid."

I didn't...have any money on me...the copies were already made. Shit...what am I supposed to do?

I nervously made eye contact with her and started to shake my head. "I don't...have the money for it."

The lady sighed as she started to drag the flyers away from me. "I guess it'll just be scrap paper for the time being...I could write notes on it."

"No no. I'll pay for it." A voice came from behind me. It was rather deep for a high school student.

I quickly turned to see who this generous man was. He didn't sound like he knew me...so why?

I turned to see a student that was very lazily wearing his uniform. His collar was unbuttoned at the top and his hair was curly and looked unkept. He wasn't wearing a blazer or a vest. He had rings on the majority of his fingers...but had an innocent smile. Was a trouble maker helping me? Was he a trouble maker with a smile like that?

He slammed a 10 dollar bill onto the counter before winking at me. "Love your dedication, kid. Band's lucky to have you. We'd love to see more of that in the group I'm in. You got plans after school?"

I lightly shook my head no as I stared at him. He was the type of guy your parents tried to warn you about...but he seemed so nice. "What kind of group?"
