ADAM was currently showing her around the mall for the day while Dean hung out with Fulton, Charlie and Averman. They had already been to half of the stores in the building but neither of them was ready to return to their respective households. The blonde was looking at all the shops trying to pick the next one they would window shop in.

Sophie noticed Adam slowing his pace before he stopped completely, staring into the music store. She followed his line of sight and spotted the blonde worker who was organizing a crate of records. Sophie felt herself smile as she looked back to Adam.

"Good taste," the girl spoke quietly to the boy. "You should go in and talk to him. I need some new cassettes anyway."

Adam looked at the girl with wide eyes, panic evident on his face. She was the only person in his life he was out to. He began to quietly ask about what he would even talk about.

"I mean what if I'm not even the type, Soph?" Adam said quietly as he spun his silver ring around his finger.

"Ask about what album he would suggest. If any of them are by David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Air Supply, Bee Gees, or The Goo Goo Dolls, he's your type," Sophie said with a soft smile.

"How can you be sure?" Adam asked, his face showing how nervous he was.

"Trust me on this dude. There's a reason I know these bands," she winked before walking into the store and towards one of the shelves.

Adam stared at his friend before turning back to the pretty blonde boy several feet away from him. He took a deep breath before walking towards him, sticking his hands in his pockets. Adam stopped next to the boy as he organized one of the crates, deciding to look through the crate next to him to give him some time to build up courage.

Apparently, fate was in Adam Banks' favor because the worker turned to speak to him.

"You looking for anything specific?"

Adam looked up from the crate of records and into the boy's eyes. Panicking, he said the first thing that came to his head.

"Anything by David Bowie and maybe some Bees Gees. I already have enough Thompson Twins at home."

"Great choices but I hate to break it to you pretty boy," the unnamed boy smiled causing Adam to flush lightly. "You're in the wrong section for those records. You are however in the perfect spot for one of my personal favorites, Air Supply."

Sophie walked over at that moment carrying a few cassettes and a poster.

"Sorry to interrupt but which five should I get for Dean? I know it's a lot but Kenny and Fulton already told me what he's getting me for our anniversary and I feel the need to outdo him."

"Get them all but say you only got five," Adam rolled his eyes in amusement. "We all know someone will spill what you got him and then you'll go broke trying to keep outdoing each other."

"You're so right," the girl's eyes widened. "I knew there was a reason I kept you around Banksie. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go find some David Bowie to force him to listen to when I get back to his house."

Adam laughed as Sophie bounced away excitedly.

"Friend?" The worker asked Adam, nodding towards Sophie.
