"Will you be my girlfriend?" Jennie slurred, her eyes getting heavier by the second.
Jisoo watched as she stared at her, watching as she grew even sleepier. Jennie tried to keep her eyes open. She really did, but her head had become foggy when the alcohol in her system took her into oblivion. It's as if every eye lash weighs more than it should and gravity has been turned up ten fold. Jennie felt this blackness come over her like a blanket- not a blanket of warmth, but a blanket of coldness making her shiver. But somehow it's making her eyes feel heavier and heavier. She finally closed her eyes, sending herself into a dreamless sleep. In moments, she acquiesced and fell forward, dropping her head on top of Jisoo's shoulders.
Jisoo felt her eyes widen as she reached out to grab the younger girl, suddenly starting to carry Jennie's weight in front of her body. She could feel the brunettes cold breath on her exposed neck. Jisoo was even about to answer Jennie's question before she passed out.
The shorter girl shook her head and turned her body around as she held onto Jennie's arms so that she would be on her back. After a few seconds of adjusting their position, Jisoo lifted her body with her strength, carrying Jennie on her back, and walked back inside the club.
The music was still loud and booming along with plenty of distant chatter here and there. The dark haired made sure to go carefully down the stairs so that they wouldn't fall and made her way to the bar through the crowds of people.
Once she reached it, Jisoo stopped at the counter, waiting for a few moments for Lisa.
And when she popped out from below the counter, it startled Jisoo.
"Jisoo?"
"Hey, um, Jennie passed out," Jisoo started, lifting the brunette up a bit so that she wasn't slipping, "and, uh, I don't know what I should do."
Lisa put the bottles she was holding down and scratched the top of her head, thinking hard, "My shift doesn't end until the night ends, and that's a long time, so taking her to my place is canceled."
"Okay, uh, anything else?" Jisoo asked, "What about Jennie's place? Can I take her there?"
"No, no, no," The younger girl discarded that option quickly, "Going there means you'd have to deal with her bodyguards and with her on your back like that could cause a commotion, so no."
"Bodyguards?"
"Yeah, it's a long story," she replied, "You'll hear about it one day."
"Is there any other options like, uh, calling her parents or some family member?"
"No, the rest of her family is in New Zealand" Lisa said, looking at Jennie's peaceful state, "She came here alone."
Jisoo raised her eyebrows and held on to Jennie tightly, securing her safely on her back.
"There's one option, though," Lisa offered, smirking internally, "You could take her back to your place for the night."
"What?" The dark haired scoffed, until she realized Lisa was dead serious, "My place?"
"I mean it wouldn't hurt. It's just one night, and you don't have to worry about anything because it's teacher planning day tomorrow." Lisa said quickly, taking her phone out, "I'll call you guys a cab. Also, Jennie snores when she's comfortable."
Jisoo sighed and nodded, thanking Lisa soon after. The younger girl told her to wait at the front for the cab, so she did.
Jisoo headed outside to avoid the loud noise that could possibly wake Jennie, exposing themselves to the cold autumn air. Finding the first bench in her sight, she gently placed Jennie on the seat while sitting right next to her. The bench had been exposed to the elements for many seasons, likely it was older than both Jennie and Jisoo were. It had come to resemble driftwood, the bright tones of its once fresh state had become a sombre brown, but beautiful.
