From the window of the plane the wing engine is semi illuminated, the lower half shining around the rim, the upper half several shades darker. As the plane dips the line between shadow and light moves, and all the while Jisoo listens to the hum of the rotors. The private jet she was boarded on had the look of a billionaire's private jet. There were no rows of seats, only the most elegant leather couches and coffee tables with ornate cabriole legs. There were plush curtains at the windows and a plasma screen as large as a movie theatre.
Jisoo sighs, putting her phone on her lap after texting her best friend that she was near Jeju Island, where they would hold their wedding at this fancy resort. She was excited that they were getting married. She found comfort in the fact that, even though her last relationship didn't last, her best friend was going strong in hers. And she wouldn't want to miss it.
The black haired girl sighed and looked out the window to her left. Clouds lie as numerous as pebbles on a beach, small and heaped in chaotic ways. Above is a drifting mist, thin, oddly transparent, like a half erased footprint in sand. Fragments of cloud scatter the ocean, as if painted by an artistic hand - delicate inflections of the brush spreading white over blue.
It had been about two weeks since her last interview and she held a few performances all over the place to keep her fans at bay. After that, she had asked to be given three days off due to Rose's wedding. It was an extended wedding after all and she wouldn't miss it for the world.
"Sooyaa, we're landing soon, so wrap everything you have in here in about ten minutes," her manger tells her before going back into the pilots room, leaving her alone in the middle of the jet.
Jisoo nods and let's out a sigh she had been dying to release. She thought about how the wedding would go and who might be there. She definitely thought about the chance of her being there, but whatever happens, she decided she'd ignore it. She held a sense of bitterness towards her after these two years and that hasn't exactly changed. But even then, she missed her. Always. And she couldn't help it, no matter how angry and hurt she was.
Her private jet landed as soon as they said they would, surprisingly. Jisoo stood up and made her way towards the exit, walking down the metal steps. She dreaded the moment she would walk into the airport. She loathed it. Jisoo described the airport as a sea of faces moving in an unseen current, flowing like water to their destinations like a wide river down the aisles. Groups would often sometimes stop and cause a small eddy, but, in her case, the majority others would flow around her and with countless shouts and calls to grab her attention and just make her turn towards the camera.
She wasn't fond of the paparazzi, but when it was her fans, she would give them her all. Jisoo loved interacting with most of her fans. She found them adorable.
The moment that she stepped into the airport, flashes of cameras nearly blinded her. She finally found the reason a couple months ago as to why celebrities would wear sunglasses indoors, especially at the airport. The large building was packed with people trying to photograph her, plus the countless numbers of fans that somehow found out she would be landing here.
Before she made her way out of the airport, Jisoo made sure to sign some autographs and greet some fans just so that she could thank them, even though that was literally the least she could do. She felt as if she was in debt to all her fans who help get to where she was, so now, she worked hard to give them the content they deserve.
She spent the next forty five minutes inside of a black van that took her to her destination. It was a fancy, 5-star hotel that called itself Hyatt Regency Jeju. Jisoo was never really a big fan of overly extravagant places and things, but two of her favorite people were getting married and she didn't have the heart to miss it.
