"Baby, are you sure you don't want me to pick you up?"

Jennie whined as she pressed her phone to her ear while using her other free hand to grab the piece of bread from the toaster of her penthouse. She wedged her phone between the side of her head and her shoulder, making sure to keep the device by her ear while she spreads some butter onto her toast.

The brunette was just about to leave, planning to head on over to Jisoo's place so that they could go to their anatomy class together, but as usual, Jennie was running a bit late again.

"Yes, Jennie, I'm fine," Jisoo's smile was practically heard from the other line, "The bus will be here any minute."

"Wait, let me call June real quick-"

"Baby, I love you but I promise I'll be fine." Jisoo reassured her, "No one's going to attack me on a bus full of people this early in the morning."

The dark haired knows about how paranoid Jennie gets when she's not with her. Jennie had thought about every single possibility and scenario that has come up in her head on how Taeyong's father would try to cripple her. Although, it was cute that the brunette worries about her so much, she found it a little bit supererogatory when she would literally send that tall man named Junhoe to protect her on days like going to the small grocery store a few streets down.

"Fine."

The brunette huffed, grabbing her keys and heading out of her penthouse. Jennie didn't want to argue. They just had a little friendly argument just last week on the exact same topic.

"The bus just got here. I'll see you soon, Jen,"

Jisoo told her, "I love you." "I love you." Jennie's eyes widened as soon as she
walked out of the building and to her car, "Wait!

Did you eat breakfast?"

"Uh, no, but-"

"Okay, that's all I need," Jennie smiled and started her car's engine with a smile on her face, "Bye. I love you."

The brunette hung up before Jisoo could say a word back. She threw her phone to the side in the passenger seat and drove off with the thought of being late to class in order to get herself a latte and a fresh bagel just for her girlfriend because in return, she'd probably receive a cute little kiss from her as a thank you.

Fresh, windy, cool and crispy winter air started whistling like a invisible ghost and past and through her rolled down car window. The red and green birds with their chilli-like beak started twitting their morning melody. Early this morning, the golden sun rose like a baby and started painting the dark black sky into a bright blue sky. The bright looking milky clouds got up from sleep and started travelling around the sky visiting the wonderful environment.

Jennie smiled at every inch of scenery she drove by and after she had ordered a latte and a whole cinnamon bagel, making sure to have it with extra cream cheese just how Jisoo liked it.

When she arrived on campus, she made sure to park under the tree near the sciences buildings. She was eager to get out of her car and walked a bit faster than her usual pace, excited to give Jisoo her little breakfast. This could've been a daily thing, buying her breakfast and all, but Jennie wasn't exactly one to wake up early enough to get it sometimes and on different days, Jisoo had already eaten breakfast.

The brunette rushed up the stairs and through the doors, walking swiftly into the building. It was quiet in the halls which indicated that most people would be in class by now. Jennie sighed and started walking again, looking for her Anatomy class as her feet shuffled along the flat, smooth tiles.

As she scanned the the doors for her class, she turned on a corner, completely oblivious to the man who was rushing just as fast as her and bumped their shoulders together in surprise. Jennie almost dropped her bagel and her latte.
