Debris as well as dust flew into the air when I landed. Seeing a bit through the dust, I was able to see two individuals inside the room that I was in.
"Oh? I never expected to see you again so soon, Haru. And it looks like you caught that annoying fish." A familiar monotonous tone. Of course, the worse just had to come.
"Time..." As the dust had finally cleared, Time, including Mumei, had stood across from one another, now turning their attention towards me. Inspecting Kronii's clothes, there were a few torn pieces from her cape and dress, but there were no signs of blood on her body.
"Ah, Su! I knew you would come here alone! It saves me the hassle of dealing with those friends of yours!" They could have been considered your friends too...
"Mumei..." If I didn't have Gura in my hands, my fists would be clenching right about now.
"Say, mind not getting on my nerves? I'd rather not have to deal with you again, Haru. I came here for the purpose of asking Civilization-"
"Now, Time, it's disrespectful not calling someone by their proper name. His name is Su. Got it? And please refrain yourself from saying disgusting things to him like that again." I dont know when this happened, but there used to be a resemblance of hope in her eyes before, but now... There's nothing. I fail to understand how you can still pretend you're happy with eyes like those Mumei.
"Right. So mind explaining to me what the hell you think you're doing? We are to not involve ourselves in the mortal realm. Your actions are going to-" A giggle escaped from Mumei's lips.
"Oh. Kronii... Always thinking about our superior. In case you never got the hint, I run by different rules. My own rules. What I do in the mortal realm does not concern you, nor our superior. It would be fun it did, but I don't think that a self-absorbed person such as yourself would care about the matters of someone else. Right?" She's talking down to her own superior and her comrade... I don't understand how my own presence could create such a change in such a person. However, to the insults, Time had sighed. It was probably because of her being fed up with things.
"And you're not worried about the repercussions of your actions? Of what he might do to after finding out?" She spoke in the same tone, but was what a sense of worry there? And here I thought Mumei said that she was self-absorbed.
"Worried? We were made to not harbor emotions within ourselves. Unless... Have you been watching the mortals of this realm yourself? No. That doesn't matter. Unlike the others, I am the most unique. I am different than all of you."
"Different? In what regard?" Time's confusion had only made Mumei gleeful.
"Oh~? He didn't tell you~? Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway. Time, could you kindly stay out of my way now? I have my own matters to attend to." Time didn't respond, making me believe that she was displeased. Mumei walled passed her, not batting an eye back to her.
"Su... Thank you for patiently waiting. Shall we begin?" Regardless of what she actually meant by that, this had to stop now.
"I'm not going through with whatever you want, Mumei. All of this that you're doing? Everything has to stop." Stopping in front of me, her head tilted, almost as if I was the one who was odd.
"You want me to stop? Why do that when we're so close to the end of it all?" Taking my eyes off of her for a second to look at my surroundings, I spoke once again.
"I am not the person you know, Mumei. Su, and everything from that other world is long gone. What will be the point of ending this world?" Time, in the corner of my eye while I was still looking around, had now gotten a bit interested in the conversation.
