4. Duty of a maverick hunter

"A chan! This is Oozora Subaru from the 2nd Gen! We need Roboco senpai's help!" - Subaru

"What is it Subaru san?" - A chan

"We're fighting with a ball-shaped machine from a portal and it's weakness is electricity!" - Subaru

"Isn't Shion san with you right?" - A chan

"Yes but she's injured! So we need Roboco senpai's help!" - Subaru

"Alright, I'll send her as soon as possible." - A chan

[What was it?]

"Well, Gen 2 needs your help Roboco san." - A chan

[What kind of mission is it?]

"Good question X san. As you can see, Some of us are on a mission and they need somebody who could use electric type attack." - A chan

[Can I help?]

[You? But you just came to our dimension a few hours ago.]

[Well, at least they are humans, right?]

"Actually, Choco san is a devil, Ayame san is an oni, and Shion san is a human but she's actually a witch so not all of them are humans." - A chan

[But they are equal as human in this dimension, right?]

"Yes. But why do you ask?" - A chan

[Because I'm a maverick hunter. Maverick hunter's first priority: protect the humans.]

"Well, but there isn't a maverick..." - A chan

[Even if you stop me, I will go.]

As X strongly suggested that he will go too, A chan finally allowed X to accompany with Roboco. As the three went to the 1st floor, A chan operated a pannel and the warp portal was ready.

"I'll send you two via warp portal. You guys ready?" - A chan

[Of course I am. How about you, X san?]

[I've used this before too.]

"Then, begin transport!" - A chan

As the portal was activated, the two went inside the portal. After they got outside, they witnessed a ball-shaped metal cracking the city and they saw some ladies fighting against it.

"Oh, hey! Roboco senpai! We could really use your help... and who is this robot?" - Ayame

Ayame noticed Roboco went to help them, but she also noticed someone else.

[That's X. Sui chan brought him a few hours ago.]

""Wait?! Does that means A chan just sent someone who got lost because of a dimension portal?!"" - Ayame, Subaru

[Well, he actually suggested that it is his duty to protect people since he was a police robot back where he was from.]

"But...!" - Subaru

"Watch out! Here it comes!" - Aqua

Subaru suggested that X shouldn't be on a mission field since he just went to their dimension a few hours ago, but Aqua warned the others as the machine stated to attack again.

"Alright... let's see what you could do. But if you think it is dangerous, just retreat, okay?" - Subaru

[Got it.]

As soon as Subaru agreed that X could help them, X dashed toward at the machine. The machine fired lasers at him, but he dodged all of them and jumped at top of the machine.

[Electricity, huh. Then this will do.]

<Triad Thunder (charged)>

X clenched his fist and smashed at the machine and through X's fist, a massive amount of electricity flowed inside the machine, which caused it to malfunction.

"He did it!" - Ayame

"That's why he self volunteered in this mission." - Subaru

"Aw... I could have done it if it weren't for that lasers..." - Shion

"Take it easy Shion chan." - Choco

"Yes yes Choco sensei." - Shion

But suddenly, the machine started to radiate both heat and cold so X immediately dropped of it.

"Okay, now round 2?" - Subaru

[X san, could you use both fire and ice at once?]

[Not if I combine 2 weapons.]

<Frost Burner (charged)>

Frost Burner, a combined attack of Frost Shield and Rushing Burner is originally a attack which shoots Frost Shield with flame from X-buster, but when it is charged, X uses a charged Frost Shield which is surrounded with flame as well as X himself and rush, just like he's doing right now.

"Wait, he could use fire and ice at once?!" - Aqua

"How's that even possible?" - Subaru

"Roboco senpai, didn't you said he is a robot?" - Choco

[Yes but I didn't know that he's capable of that too...]

As the hololive members were surprised at what X is capable of, X charged into the hot and cold machine, and X is pushing the machine. As he pushed the machine forward, it stopped radiating heat and cold, but an unknown wave which distorts his location.

"Is it using an illusion?! I can't see it directly!" - Shion

"Same here! I can't see it correctly via scope!" - Aqua

[I'll try to do something Aqua chan!]

Roboco shot a homing missile, but the missile can't catch it and just exploded in the midair.

[Uh oh...]

"Now we can't see where that metal ball is!" - Subaru

[Wait, since it's a machine, it  is made of metal. Which means...]

"It could stick to a magnet, right?" - Subaru

[Exactly.]

<Magnet Mine>

X shot a small shuriken shaped bombs, which hit directly at the machine and destroyed it.

[Does that shurikens have homing abilities?]

[No, it actually has a magnetic system.]

[Wow...]

"Wait! something is coming out from it!" - Subaru

As Subaru indicated, some kind of light just got out of that machine and flied the sky.

"Roboco senpai, could you scan it?" - Aqua

[Well, that thing is a data.]

[Let's finish this.]

As X aimed his buster at a cluster of data, he used a weapon.

<Aiming Laser>

X aligned the sight and locked on at the data, and a line of laser fired from X-buster, causing the data to be erased. After a few hours later, the data was completely erased.

"Yata! We did it!" - Shion

"No, actually he did it." - Ayame

Ayame pointed at X, and the other Hololive members agreed.

[This is Roboco San from the 0th Gen. X finished that machine eventually.]

"Wow... we weren't expecting that much from him... anyways, I'll activate the warp portal." - A chan

[Got it.]

Author's note: In this episode, X used Aiming Laser to destroy the data. Some of the readers who played or watched someone playing Megaman X4 and saw on Cyber Peacock's stage, X used Soul Body to erase yellow objects, and thought 'why did he used Aiming Laser instead of Soul Body?'. Well, the reason why I did this is in this fan fiction's set up, the original user of the Aiming Laser, Cyber Peacock from Megaman X4, is actually a program, so I decided that in this fan fiction, Aiming Laser's effect is erasing data and for battle purpose, it could paralyze reploid's data for a few second, which isn't effective to non-flyable reploids but very effective to flyable ones. Plus, the enemy's data was flying so Soul Body can't fly. That's the reason.
