Chapter Seven

In their second year, William, Florencia, Catherine, and Fred moved into 13A Hope Street. All four of them paid £100 pounds per week and would share the cleaning duties for the two-story home. Of course, there were so many reports about William living with Florencia and Catherine.

[Reporter #1] Prince William has moved into a flat near St. Andrews College to begin his second year.

This is the first time a member of the royal family has taken a flat while at university.

Much speculation exists as to whether or not William is romantically linked to one of the two girls he's sharing the flat with.

Prince William and the palace absolutely deny it.

[Reporter #2] A close friend of Prince William has confirmed that he and his roommate Florencia are secretly planning to wed next month.

[Reporter #3] He explained to several reporters that he's very busy with school and has no time for romantic interests.

At the moment in their sitting room, William had just invited to join him at Highgrove as father, step-mother, and brother were there.

"Did he just invite us to Highgrove to meet Prince Charles?" Catherine asked Florencia.

"I believe he did," Florencia answered.

"That sounds like an all-right way to get over Trevor," Catherine said.

Catherine had recently broken up with her boyfriend Trevor so any kind of distraction would be great for her to get her mind off of Trevor.

"Yeah," Florencia said.

"Okay," Catherine said.

"Okay," Fred said.

William laughed.

"I wouldn't get that excited," William said.

"I've been there before. It's not that special," Fred said.

"Wow," Florencia said.

"A weekend with the Royals," Catherine said.

"Yeah," William said.

In the morning, They all headed to Highgrove. Once they arrived, they were greeted by Charles.

"I'm so glad you could all come," Charles said, once the foursome entered the sitting room. "I've been looking forward to seeing you all," He added.

"Thank you," Catherine said as she curtsied to Charles.

Charles gave her a polite chuckle.

"Thank you but there's no need for that here, Miss Middleton," Charles said.

"Catherine, please sir," Catherine said.

He gave Florencia a hug and shook hands with Fred.

"Fred, how are your parents?" Charles asked Fred.

"Wonderful, sir. And they send their regards, of course," Fred answered.

"Miss Middleton, I believe we're going to have a good day for it," Charles said.

Charles left the sitting room.

"Papa's very formal," Florencia said.

"You call the Prince of Wales, papa?" Catherine asked Florencia.

"Yup, he refuses to let me call him, Charles," Florencia answered.

"He doesn't take to my new friends very quickly," William said.

"I think he's charming," Catherine said.

"Really?" Fred asked Catherine.

"Mm-hmm," Catherine replied.

"You should see him in a kilt, then," William said.

Everyone laughs.

After a few days, the foursome returned home where William was in charge of cooking dinner for tonight.

Fred, Florencia, and Catherine heard groans from the kitchen.

"Is everything okay in there?" Fred called out to William.

"Yeah. Everything's fine, good, great," William yelled.

"What's he making?" Florencia asked.

"The lasagna for tonight," Catherine answered.

"Can he make a lasagna?" Fred asked.

"He says he can," Catherine replied.

"Like he said he could make a curry," Florencia said with a snort.

Florencia knew William couldn't cook to save his life but she also knew he was doing it to impress her and she wasn't going to stop him from making a fool of him. She found it to be entertaining.

The smoke alarm starts blaring and William muttering profanity.

Fred clicks his tongue.

"You should go in there," Fred told Florencia.

"Absolutely not," Florencia said.

"Flo, I went in there last time," Fred said.

"Well, I can't. I just painted my nails," Florencia said.

Fred scoffs.

The alarm continues.

"Your turn," Catherine told Florencia.

Florencia sighs.

"It's the curry all over again. What did you do?" Florencia askd William once she entered the kitchen.

"Nothing," William answered.

"This doesn't look like nothing, Wills," Florencia said as she looked at the burnt dish on the counter.

"It's...perfect. Just how it's meant to be," William said as he coughs.

"That is-- That's disgusting!" Florencia exclaimed.

"Look at that. It's fine," William said as he cut into the lasagna and held a piece up for Florencia to try.

"No," Florencia said, moving away from the fork.

"You can't be-- Quitter," William said.

"That's disgusting," Florencia said.

"Try it," William said.

"No. Get a frying pan. We'll start over," Florencia said.

William ate the piece of lasagna.

"Very good," William said.

"Disgusting," Florencia said.
