Chapter Ten
"Can we have a moment?" William asked Florencia as he intercepted her outside of her office.
"I'm busy. Can this wait?" Florencia replied.
"No. I need to speak to you," William told her.
"Right now?" She asked him.
"Yes," He answered.
"Well, I'll be another hour," She said, before attempting to walk away from him.
William blocks her way.
"What are you doing?" She asked him, rolling her eyes.
"What are you doing?" He replied.
"Move out of my way, William, we're in public," She told him.
"Well, you are ignoring me, Flo," He said.
"Oh, for heaven's sake," She said, groaning.
She pushed him inside her office and locked the door to make sure they wouldn't be interrupted.
"Flo," He said, grabbing her hands.
He held her hands tightly in his hands.
"What is it?" She asked.
"I miss you," He answered.
"That's what couldn't wait?" She asked him.
"No. I've been a fool. I just couldn't wait another second to talk to you and see you. I was wrong. I was stupid and immature and..." William paused.
"And?" She asked, encouraging him to continue on with what he was saying.
"And I don't want to spend another minute without you," He answered.
"How can I be sure?" She asked him.
"Give me some time to prove it," He told her.
"If you're going to prove what a fool you've been,
that could take a very long time," She said.
"Well, I happen to have a very long time," He said.
"Okay," She said.
"I love you, Florencia," He said, smiling.
"I love you too, William," She said, smiling.
