When she finally recovers, she looks around and finds herself in a bright, white room, nothing else around her. She rests her head back down on the floor, and stares at the stark white ceiling. Eventually, after laying in the room for what could've been hours, she reaches into her bag and extracts a book.

She lounges on the floor in the room, reading, for quite a long while after that. Checking her watch, she realised that the hands hadn't moved. She jumps to her feet, and looks at a random wall in the room, "Okay, look, I don't know what the bl**dy h*ll kind of a game you lot are playing, but I sincerely hope that you let me out soon. If you keep me trapped here much longer, I might just start tampering with things."

She then sits back down on the floor, and continues to glare at the wall. Pulling her sonic out of her back pocket, she aims it at the wall, and presses the control switch, which changes the colour of the room. She continues to mess with her screwdriver settings, and the Time Lord appears, grabbing the device, "Miss McCoy, I really must ask you to stop!"

"Take me back to the Doctor."

"I'm afraid I can't do that, miss. But, I promise, it won't be too much longer."

Sophie grumbles, and rolls her eyes, "Yeah, okay, whatever." She drops back onto the floor, and stares up at the blue ceiling.

What feels like an eternity later, the Time Lord drops in again. "I'm ready to take you home now."

"Could I possibly tell the Doctor goodbye?"

He sighs, but smiles at her, "Yeah, you can do that first."

She smiles at the Time Lord in thanks. The CIA agent grabs her arm, and the world goes wibbly once again.

Sophie recovers faster than before, and finds herself back in the Doctor's laboratory, nearly giving the Brigadier a heart attack. The Doctor turns when he hears the sound of the time ring, "Miss McCoy, I thought you'd be back in your own time by now."

"I wanted to tell you goodbye," she responds, and wraps her arms around him, which he gladly returns. "Now I am actually going to have to go." She offers the Brigadier and two fingered salute, and walks back over to the CIA agent, and the world goes wibbly once more.

She blinks a few times, and finds herself back on the dingy streets of Cardiff. Sophie turns to offer her thanks to the Time Lord, but he has already vanished into thin air. She shrugs, and sets off back in the direction of the Torchwood Hub, smiling as the Tourist Information Center comes into view. Entering the Hub once again, every member of the team smiles at her.

Ianto pauses in front of her, a tall stack of files in his arms, "Glad you've made it back. Jack's in his office."

She nods in thanks at the Welshman, and climbs the staircase as quickly as she can. She enters the Captain's office without knocking, and Jack looks up. When he sees her, he climbs to his feet, and rounds the desk, and pulls her into a hug in one swift motion. "Wow, missed you too, Jack."

He presses a kiss to her forehead, "Are you okay?"

"I was with the Doctor, of course I'm fine." She slips her hand into her pocket, and hands him the pound notes, "Sorry I didn't get breakfast."

Jack chuckles, and just presses the money back into her hands, "Don't worry about it."

*One Week Later*

Sophie once again finds herself in the Doctor's massive lecture hall. She's practically falling asleep. Just as the Time Lord wraps up his lecture, Jonathan, the boy who sits beside her in class, leans over. "Hey, Sophie," he whispers.

She turns, and raises an eyebrow, "Hmm?"

"A couple of my mates and I are going to this fancy dress party this weekend, we were wondering if you'd like to come with us?"

"Me?" she asks, incredulously.

"Yeah, you seem nice, thought maybe you'd be fun to have at a party."

"Uh," she stutters, "Uh, yeah, yes, totally, that sounds fun."

"Great," Jonathan smiles, "Pick you up around one?"

She bites her lip, "Sure."

"Great." Sophie turns around to leave the lecture hall, and doesn't see how Jonathan turns and smirks at his friends.
