CH.28 GIVE IT A TRY

I'm reading a book in the library, couldn't put myself to sleep.

My fingers turned the page to another chapter, "what book are you reading?" she asked, it's been decades since I heard that voice, "Mina...?" I met her face, "Hello dear" she whispered softly, "I miss you" I throw the book away and ran her, wrapping my arm around her, she rubs my back as I sobs so hard I chokes, "I miss you too, but you have to wake up now" she pulled away, "what...? What do you mean" this couldn't be a dream, this can't be a dream, I can lost her again.

"Wakey wakey!!!" Adrea slaps me like what they do when they try to wake drunk people up, "fuck you, don't ever do that again" she rolled over the bed, "just try to make you feel better" yeah I'm much worse now , "oh how kind of you to do such thing" I said, she rolled her eyes, "it's been decades Violet", "and it's will be the eternity" She's kinda right, decades went by without Mina, I'm starting to lost hope.

Many things changed, I changed my name from Violet Walton to Violet Venable, Adrea dyed her hair black and she came out to her parents last week, Kath's married to a man, he's British and yeah he's also one of us, he's nice and all that, always brings us things. He play piano for me and Adrea in the library, he doesn't know about Wilhemina. We chose not to says anything about her, just so I could move on with life. It's doesn't take an inches of me, it'll never work.

I spend days and night writing letters to Mina, I put in all of it in a trunk.

Somedays, I let myself starve that my mind starting to play tricks with me, I tried killing myself in different ways that I could thought of, it's funny that I'm immortal and depressed.

"you can't keep on living like this Violet" Vivian said this to me almost everyday, I'm sick.

Today I force myself to explore the woods, "where are going?" Adrea looks shocked like she seen a ghost, "the woods", "oh my god... is this real??" She came up closer to me checking my eyeballs, "I gotta go see yah later" I shake my head, "see yah" she yelled.

In the woods, the weather seems to enjoy me as much I enjoy them, it's so gloomy, the winds blow taking away my perfume.

Far deep in the thick forest, there's a river and a bridge leads to the other side, the soft music could be heard through the wind, I followed it across the wooden bridge, saw a small cottage.

I peeked through the window and saw a ginger woman reading on the couch facing the opposite way, I can't really see her face.

I tried to get to the other window but she disappeared, where did she go.

All of the sudden, someone tap my shoulder, I turned around before I have a chance to scream she covered her hand over my mouth, she smells like apple.
