The Real Hybrid

Chapter 1

~Scarlett POV~

The first thing I was taught when I was little never speak to the Royal's unless they speak to you. That's what I have always done, my dad didn't really like me or my younger brother Noah because we were Hybrid's and his second mate's children. His werewolf mate died after giving birth to my twat of a half-brother Ethan. My dad didn't really get over her death, but when he was around my mum, those thoughts somewhat lifted from his mind.

He died a few months ago now, my mum was still mourning his loss, and my younger brother Noah is only 1 so he doesn't really know what's happened to him. For Ethan, he moved to the pack house and replaced my dad's position as Royal Beta. After Ethan left for the pack house, we moved out to the country - far away from every living creature - human, witch, vampire and werewolf. Mum said it was for me and my brother's safety, all that was going through my head was that it was going to ruin my social life.

I woke up to shouting, then loud footsteps going up the stairs. Ethan was back from the pack house. Suddenly my door swung open; there stood Ethan looking absolutely pissed off. "Why didn't you tell me you were a Hybrid?" he shouted at me. I sat there for a moment staring at him. Since he woke me up from sleep, I decided to shout back at him "I had no idea until my birthday and why should I tell you, you're never here!" Ethan stared at me for a few minutes, and then just walked out of my room, surprised about my answer.

I got up, and got ready for the day because I was going to the pack house to meet the triplets. I've known since I was a baby, so there like another set of siblings to me. I went down to the kitchen and got myself some breakfast, mum and Ethan were disusing something - but when I walked in they just stopped. "What???" I asked them. They sat there staring at each other and after a while they just started to stare at me. Again I just went "What???" My mum stared to speak but Ethan interrupted her. "You're going to go and live in the pack house and go to the pack school. We need to get you into the pack with a good position."

"Why???" I thought to myself. Moving to the pack house would mean that I could see Elijah, Klaus and Rebekah more often. But it would mean that I would be restricted to rules, being able to do anything what you want all your life and then be restricted to them will be tough. It was too early in the morning to fight with Ethan, so I just sighed.

"Fine, I will go but I am not staying with you in your living quarters, I am going to live in the student dorm section". I made sure to emphasize 'I am' to get my point across. I expected there to be a no you're not living there, your living with me. "Fine" Ethan said and faced back towards my mum. "It's probably better for her to be around a big amount of people, so no one finds out, it would be odd having one student not living in the dorms".  My mum eyes were filling with tears and she nodded at Ethan. She faced me and I could see the pain in her eyes from me leaving her alone, all she would have is Noah. But at least she had someone.

"Scarlett, you are leaving tomorrow with Ethan so you need to spend the day packing. You will have to cancel your plans with the triplets. Don't even think of arguing because you will be seeing them every day until graduation. Okay!" I nodded my head in silence and rushed upstairs to my room. I grabbed my phone and texted Robb, Liam and Rebekah about me joining the pack school. Then I started to pack up all my stuff, so I could leave tomorrow.
