Chapter 10

~Scarlett POV~

It's been a week since Finn told me I was going to a ball with him, the only thing he said was I will pick you up at 7 o'clock and bring an overnight bag. I protested, if I stayed overnight I wouldn't make it back to morning classes but he argued back saying that we would make it. I didn't tell anyone about the ball because, personally I think it's a bit odd the king asking me but I did tell Ethan as he was going. At the weekend Ethan took me into town to choose a dress, he needed to go in any way to get a suit for the ball. He got a tight fitting grey suit and I got my dress along with a new pair on black heels. It was a Saturday so we had no lessons. Rebekah came through my door with a bottle of water in her hand, "Are you ready?" I get off my bed and grab the bottle of water of my bedside table.

"Yeah, what do you want do first?" I ask her meeting her at the door. "Let's do a run and then a workout in the fitness suite," we walk out to the training field where we normally start one of a runs with Alpha Blake. We decided to only do a short run, half way through the forest and back along the training field to the beginning. We were near the exit of the forest before I realized that Rebekah isn't next to me. I start running backwards so I can see if I can spot her, and she was only a few meters behind me.

"Stop being a slow coach and hurry up!" I start shouting at her. She smiles at me and runs up to join me. "You're so fast, you could slow down a bit" I give her a small smirk and continue running. When we get to the field I sprint to the very finish, to where are bottles are. I can hear Rebekah groan when I start to sprint but I ignore her. I reach the bottles lying on the ground; I pick mine up and start drinking from it. After I finished I turn around to Rebekah who is half way across the field. "Come on - sprint it!" I can hear her muttering swear words under her voice as she sprints towards me. "I hate you, you know that" she tells me picking up her bottle. "You Love me really," I smile at her but she just glares at me and then gives me a fake smile. "Yeah, I do" she swings her arm around my shoulder and we walk back into the pack school. "Shall we do that workout now?" Rebekah looks at me likes she wants to kill me; she didn't even have to answer. "Fine, I'll go shower" I say and walk off to my room to get some towels.

After I finished in the shower I put on a pair of joggers and top that I picked up along with my towels. I walk to my room and start drying my hair. I put it in a top knot and started on my make - up, I decided to do a very natural look. As soon as I'm finished Rebekah walks into my room.

"What you getting ready for? Did we have a party that I forgot about?" I role my eyes and start to brush my hair.

"No, I'm going to this work party with Ethan" I lie but it's not like I'm going to tell her I'm going to a ball with the king.

"Oh okay" her phone buzz's and she looks at it with a worried look on her face. "I should go and leave you to get ready" she says and hurries out of my room. I start to put my hair in a side fish tail braid and curled my side fringed. I smile at myself in the mirror and go over and get my dress from the cupboard. I put the Navy Long Greek Style Chiffon Cocktail Dress on along with my new black heels. I don't normally where heels, so when I stand up I wobble and fall down back onto my bed. I hear a familiar voice laughing at me, Finn. I look towards the door; he's leaning against the door frame. He's wearing a similar suit to Ethan, its black and it suit's his figure perfectly.

"How long have you been standing there?" I ask him. "Well, not long," he smirks at me and I give him a fake smile. "Let's just go" I say pulling him along.

A back sports car pulls up outside the pack house; someone gets out and hands the keys to Finn. The person grabs my bag and puts it in the boot. "Thank you" I say to the man with smile, he smiles at and walks off. I get into the car and Finn starts zooming down the drive way. The car journey is spent mostly in silence until we get to a pull up to a modern mansion. Finn hands me a beautiful white mask and he gets out the car. I finish putting the mask on, and Finn opens the door to give me a hand to get out. We walk over to the entrance which is crowded with press. "You going to tell us who this lovely lady is your Majesty?" one of the people shouts. Finn grabs my hand and pulls me past the press and through the door. This house is such a beautiful, Finn puts a black mask of a leads me into a big ball room, with a bar at one end of it. He takes me towards the bar and sits me down on a stool, he looks around and faces me "I need to go discuss something with someone, stay here, don't move and don't drink anything. I will be back soon and then you can move" Well one of those rules are definitely going to be broken. "Okay" with that he turns around and leaves me. I turn around to face the bartender and ask for a glass of champagne. Once the bartender gives it to me, I swivel round and face the dancing crowd. Someone walks up to me and takes a seat beside me, "You're not meant to be drinking" Of course it has to be Ethan; I put down the glass and face him. "You so had to ruin my fun didn't you."

"Yep" he says popping his 'p'. "Do you want to dance?" Finn did tell me not to move but this was my brother, what harm would happen if I was with him. "Sure," I say taking him hand and walk to the dance floor. The music starts to play, I curtsy and Ethan bows keeping my hand in his and kisses it. Ethan stands up from the bow and a growl comes from behind him, Finn. He grabs my arm and pulls me away from Ethan and back to the bar. "I told you not to move until I got back. And why were you dancing with Ethan?" Does this guy even no Ethan is my brother? "ETHAN is my half-brother, I thought it was okay if I went and danced with him." his turns around to glare at Ethan and turns back around to me. "I will be back in 5 minutes, don't move" this was a command, before he was just telling me, now he was ordering me. Finn walked over to Ethan and started talking to him. Whatever Finn said it made Ethan bow his head submission. He walks back and takes the stool next to me. He turns round to face the bartender, "Bourbon, and Buck's Fizz," I hate when people order for me I wanted Bourbon too. "Yes Sir," the bartender says as he starts getting the drinks together. He places the Bourbon down and starts to make my drink. Finn picks up the glass and takes I sip. I start to glare at him to make him feel uncomfortable, Finn eventually looks at me. "What!" I give him an annoyed look, "I actually wanted Bourbon too" he puts his glass down on the bar. "Well you're actually under age, so you get what you're given" God he sounds so much like my mum. I take a sip of my drink and put it back down, "Fine, do you want to dance?" He gives me a small smile, "Sure" I get of the bar stool and so does he. We walk to the dance floor and of course I asked him when it was a slow song. Finn puts his hands on my waist and my whole body tingles. I put my arms around his neck and we start to dance to the music. He leans down to my next and starts to whisper, "You look beautiful." I start to blush and I try to move my face from his view. He starts to laugh and gives me a smile, which made my heart start to melt.
