The city bustled with life as you sat in your makeshift home. The abandoned building is a little cozier than last time. You were reading a simple book called Charlotte's web. It should've been difficult to read since you don't do much of it but it was a piece of cake.

As you relaxed in your bean bag chair as music softly played in the background. You flipped through the pages of your book until a knock sounded at the entrance of your home. You turn your head towards the noise, tilting it a bit in confusion.

That's odd. You weren't expecting company.

You shake off the thought with a scrunched nose and set your book down. You pad through your home, going to the board that covered the entrance, you take several steps back as a shadow figure emerged from the hole.

Your eyes broaden as a lime-green-skinned turtle came into view. His blue eyes made a smile form on your face as he entered your home.

"Hey Red, Miss me?"

You laughed with joy as you jumped into Leo's arms, him spinning you round in a hug as you both giggled with excitement.

"Oh Kappa, you came back! I'm so happy you're here!!"

Leo stopped his twirling and set you on the ground, squeezing his hands on your shoulders as he gazed into your eyes.

"I told you I would be"

Leo brought his hand up to your face and you lovingly nuzzle your cheek into his palm more as he caressed you.

"I promised you didn't I?"

You hummed in agreement, closing your eyes as you soaked in the moment. Your chest bubbling with that queasy feeling again.

"And I never break a promise"

Cold sweat rippled through your body as a sickeningly sweet voice of a woman rang through your ears. You quickly open your eyes to be face to face with six glowing red ones.

You wanted to scream but your throat felt like it was close shut. Big mamas hand was now in the place of Leos, her long claws stabbing into your skin as she chuckled at you.

"Oh starlight, I swore that if you ever tried to leave there would be consequences"

Your chest heaved rapidly as you frantically shove yourself away from the middle-aged woman. Gaping at her in horror as she strides over to you, violently seizing your shoulder with her claws.

"Look at what you've done"

You twisted at the woman before a low groan entered your ears. Your heart dropped as you turned your head back to find a bruised Leo bleeding out on the floor.

A breath caught in your throat as terror overtook your body.

"LEO!!"

You screamed at the top of your lungs as you run towards him, sliding to your knees as you gaped down at his broken body.

"Leo?! Leo!"

You shook his body with your hand, desperate for a response. Leo's body lay still as his blood stained your hands. Thick hot tears started to pour off your cheeks as you hysterically sobbed and shrieked while rocking the turtle's lifeless body.

"Wake up! Please wake up! W-Wake up! WAKE UP!"

Your body shoots up, sweat and tears oozing from your skin as your chest recklessly rises and falls. Your trembling body hugs itself as you start to eye around the room.
