(3rd Person POV)

Hitoshi immediately realised his mistake and why his dad got so serious about the topic. He covered his mouth in shock and looked down ashamed. Nemuri dropped the dustpan, also dropping half the glass shards she'd collected in the process. Eri seemed confused by the word "quirkless." She'd always hear Overhaul say the word often but never really found out the meaning behind it.

Izuku stayed quiet, staring at the ground still feeling lost in thought. Slowly he turned around to face everyone sitting at the table and bowed apologetically, after realizing what he said.

"I'm really sorry about that..." He spoke quietly. "I already ruined their morning" Izuku thought.

He looked down at Nemuri who was in a frozen state. He knelt down and helped her pick up the  pieces of glass. As he got up he looked back at Yamada and Shota.

"Again, i'm really sorry about this. Please excuse me"

Just like that, he left the room leaving everyone in silence. Izuku slowly walked into the bathroom, not knowing where else he could go.

(Hitoshi's POV)

I felt horrible. How could I be so stupid?! Asking such a personal question just a day after he moved in with us?! In front of everyone too. Oh god... what did I do?! I need to fix this...

I slowly got up from my seat to run after Izuku when dad grabbed my hand tightly, stopping me.

I looked back at him with a distressed and confused look. He only shook his head and said to give Izuku some time. Again I was making a mistake. Of course he needed time after what happened. Dammit I feel so bad...

We waited 15 minutes and everyone seemed to calm down although the atmosphere had become more depressing. Dad looked at me and gave me a reassuring look. I guess that meant I could go check on Izuku.

I went upstairs and into my room where I thought Izuku would be but instead he was in the bathroom. I could hear the sounds of grunting and mumbling coming from inside. The only thing I actually understood was "You're such an idiot, Izuku!"

Now he's angry at himself because of me...

Just as I was about to knock, he abruptly opened the door in a rush, which startled me.

"H-hey... are you okay?" I asked.

Izuku looked everywhere but my face, like he was trying to avoid eye contact. Of course, I couldn't blame him. I wouldn't want to look at myself either if I was him.

"Yeah... I'm fine" Izuku spoke quietly.

He's obviously not fine.

"I-I was wondering... If you wanted to come with me to Neko Cafe?" I asked. It was mine and dad's favorite cafe in Japan. They had kittens wandering around all over the place and the food and drinks were even good.

Izuku hadn't responded for the next 7 seconds after I asked if he wanted to come. It was starting to make me worry even more.

"...Sure"

I looked up seeing Izuku fidgeting his hands awkwardly. He actually agreed to come?

"Alright then let's go...!" I smiled.

The two of us walked to the kitchen to say bye to Auntie Nemuri, dad, papa, and Eri.

"Make sure the two of you will be back in at least 2 hours" Aizawa spoke strictly.

"But it's only morning?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't want the two of you leaving the house in the morning and coming home at night. Was that not obvious?"
