After weeks of wedding crunch time, tomorrow was finally the big day. The day I stand at the alter with the love of my life and become Savannah Rae Mahomes. Patrick and I decided to get married right here in Kansas City in a small private spot with our close friends and family only, which still was a TON of people.
Tonight was gonna be a relaxing girls night before the chaos that was about to ensue tomorrow. Sydney, Olivia, and my sister Lola had spent the day with me making sure that I had everything ready and prepped for tomorrow morning. Patrick was spending the night with the guys as well, preparing for tomorrow as well, but not to the extent we were of course.
The nerves were beginning to set in as the night progressed. I was nervous about everything going as smoothly as I wanted it to be, not so much actually marrying Patrick. That was the part I was genuinely and actually excited for.
"The table cards, menus, and favors have been delivered to the reception venue. The marital documents are safe and sound, the photographer is ready to go, your dress is out hanging and wrinkle free, the flowers are hydrating. Savannah, you're all packed for your honeymoon right?" Olivia asked as she read down through the checklist in her hands. I smiled and motioned to the packed suitcase in the other room.
"Yes I am." I replied happily.
"We took care of finalizing the rest of the arrangements today, I think that's it." Olivia stated with a sweet smile.
"God damn that better be it.." Sydney huffed, sounding exhausted.
"You're not even the one getting married." Lola remarked, trying not to laugh.
"That's what I'm sayin." Sydney replied as he fell onto the bed in the hotel room suite we had reserved close to the venue for easy access.
"Thank you all so much for making this as painless, and as stress free as possible for me. It really means a lot to me to be able to really enjoy this moment and the process." I said thankfully to my friends and sister.
"That's what friends are for." Olivia replied with a smile.
"There's no where else I'd rather be than right in the middle of this chaos with you Rae." Lola said sweetly.
"Come on, you really thought we'd let you suffer alone?" Sydney joked, making me laugh.
"You guys are the best, I don't know what I'd do without any of you." I said gratefully before holding out my arms, asking for hugs. They all leaned in and wrapped their arms around me, embracing me warmly.
"This is you we're talking about Savannah, THE Patrick Mahomes, and your babies. We're gonna make sure this happens in the most extraordinary way possible, because you only get married once." Sydney stated sweetly, making me smile. Before I could say anything there was a knock at our hotel room door.
"Ooh, I'll get it!!" Olivia shouted as she jumped up and ran to the door. She quickly opened the door and shut it, hiding something behind her back as she approached us.
