The next day was our first day of practice back at Arrowhead and I was beyond excited. After all the crazy things that's happened recently, I was ready to get back on track. Patrick's days from here on out were half training half practice for the next couple weeks and then his schedule will settle down a little bit.
I tried not to think about seeing Brittany because the whole situation honestly made me sick. I didn't like the fact that Brittany spent everyday with Patrick, but I had to suck it up and deal with it because I trust Patrick.
Patrick and I got up, got ready, and headed straight to Arrowhead for our first day of practice. When Patrick pulled into the parking lot we headed inside and walked side by side. I smiled as I took in the beautiful stadium that we call home.
"You remember this spot?" Patrick asked me suddenly, snapping me out of my thoughts. I took in our surroundings and immediately nodded and chuckled before responding.
"Yes, I remember." I stated full of embarrassment. Patrick laughed as he put his arms around me.
"One year ago the love of my life literally ran into me." Patrick stated before chuckling
"You're never gonna let me live that down are you?" I asked Patrick before leaning up to kiss him. I was happy that now at least I could spend half of a day with Patrick at practice before his training.
When we entered the football field, Patrick and I went our separate ways. The team was happy to be reunited with Patrick, just like our squad was happy to be reunited with each other.
"Hey Vanna girl! First day back!" Sydney shouted happily as she hugged me tight.
"I'm so freakin excited." I said happily as I hugged Sydney back.
"I'm so happy to be back, I've missed this." Olivia stated with a smile before hugging me.
"Me too." I answered while hugging Olivia back sweetly.
"So I don't know if you heard, but we have a new running back. He's the big built, short guy over there." Sydney stated as she pointed to the guy smiling, and talking to Patrick. "His name's Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and apparently he's related to our new comer, Serena." Sydney informed me with a smile.
"Hm, really?" I asked full of surprise.
"Yeah, they're step siblings I guess." Olivia stated nonchalantly.
"Speaking of the new girl, where is she?" I asked Sydney and Olivia curiously.
"I have no idea." Olivia answered me cluelessly. I could tell she didn't really want anyone new on our squad, and I quite frankly I didn't blame her.
"Excuse me?" I heard a girly voice say from behind me. I turned around to see quite honestly the most beautiful person I've ever laid eyes on. Sydney and Olivia's attention directed towards the stranger as we waited for her to speak again.
