Movies never really show what goes on behind the red curtains when the show ends, and neither did the nations.
Weeks passed since the "America Accident™" without a word of the person in question. So, behind the closed curtains of the public, America stood in a turmoil. News broke out stories of great heroes that laid their lives for the greater good.

Nor was he deaf to what was happening around his country. Riots, crime, violence, it all contributed to his flames.
It was his fault and he knew it.
But for once he wasn't a bit sorry, and that scared the leaders enough.

All but one giant, trigger-happy American. The Americans replaced their country with mere humans, who when they saw what truly laid behind the closed doors, stopped coming after the third failed meeting.
No doubt thinking it all as a huge waste of time.
