𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 quite adamant on picking her up and dropping her back home that evening. It wasn't as if she hadn't made it clear that she could drive her own car, of course she had. But after what happened last time, he was rather insistent that him driving would definitely be the safest option.
Her hanging out with him, wasn't some conniving way for her to play or seduce him. On the contrary, there was other reasons why she liked his presence. As much as she didn't like admitting it, he was a really good listener. He was the type of person who would sit her down and give her some advice on how to deal with what had happened. In some ways, she considered him to be her own personal therapist, but that was just because of how understanding he could be.
Usually when she'd go out, she'd at least try to make herself look somewhat presentable, but for some reason she couldn't find the will to do so tonight. Her sudden break up with Alex had something to do with that, she couldn't apply any makeup- even if she wanted to. If she tried to, a waterfall of gushing tears would definitely fall down her cheeks.
So she decided to just fling on some loose denim jeans and a knitted pink sweater, not even caring to brush down her messy hair. That's just how down she was feeling. Once she was as satisfied as she could be with her appearance, she laid back down onto her bed and waited for him to knock. His arrival wasn't expected for another fifteen minutes or so, so she had plenty of time to kill.

With her hands on her hips Letha sauntered out of the diner and towards her car, she'd told him quite clearly not to do anything and to just wait until she instructed him. As submissive as Alex could be, he didn't always want to just settle down like an obedient puppy. The breakup was making him feel angry, and he wanted to let that anger out.
Alex didn't even care that he still had a good twenty-five minutes left of his shift. As extreme as it sounded, he wanted to just drive down to her house so that she could have a piece of his mind. Usually, when he had an idea in his mind he wouldn't back down from it, and now was no different.
He reached over for his jacket which was hanging limply behind the counter and darted out to his car, hoping that his manager wouldn't notice his sudden absence. Although, he'd learnt that she had similar characteristics to a hawk, she saw everything, so he was going to have to come up with a very good excuse this time.
Once he made it to his car, he didn't hesitate to start it up and to reverse out of the parking lot. He knew that driving all the way to her house to shout at her, was a stupid and reckless idea. But the urge to make her feel guilty for leaving him was tugging at him. A part of him hoped that by doing this he'd get back together with him.
