𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 six-thirty before she'd finally decided on an outfit to wear to Alice's family dinner this evening. Why she was making such an effort was confusing, even to her. Over the past few days, she'd made it more than clear that she didn't even want to go, but of course Alice had kept pressing the subject and had eventually managed to persuade her.
Her slender fingers ran down her body, as she felt over the soft material of the dress. An outfit like this was way too dressy for her tastes, it was one of those dresses that you'd keep at the back of the wardrobe for special occasions and only end up wearing once. Yes, one of those sorts of outfits.
It had a sweetheart neckline, exposing the smallest amounts of her cleavage. The dress itself was a matte black colour, with slightly puffed long sleeves. What was most likeable about it was how it's silky fabric enhanced all of her curves perfectly. And with the white pearl necklace and ring that she'd added, she began to feel a little bit like Audrey Hepburn.

Although, with the fierce dark smudged eyeshadow, and the black hair bow she had added, she couldn't help but feel like she was reliving her mother's funeral all over again.

Red and white roses adorned the casket, as she was slowly lowered into the perfectly dug hole in the ground. The coffin was matte black, matching perfectly with the attire that the guests were wearing.
"She was a beloved mother, sister and wife.."
Muffled cries and tears echoed in the wind, nobody had dared to speak a word, all to upset by her sudden death. Natalie's head was resting in her hands, understandably so, she didn't want to watch her mother being slowly wedged into the ground. Tears trailed down her cheeks, as she glanced up through her fingers to see her beloved mother now resting below the earth.
