Hardly an hour had passed and we were already arguing. I was in the backseat. Mark was in the driver's seat and Derek was the passenger.

"Let me pick a song." I say trying to get Derek's phone because it was connected to bluetooth. "No this is why you're in the back." Derek said, swatting away my hands.

"Markyyy told him to let me pick a song." I say, but he ignored me not getting into our argument. "Markyy." Derek mocked me laughing which also caused Mark to laugh.

"You're a child." Derek says and I roll my eyes. "Just because I'm not forty dont make me a child." I say and finally snatch Derek's phone.

"Ha, bitch you aint getting it back now." I searched up 'Dani California' and clicked on it. "Wow" Derek scoffed.

"Shut up, turn it up, I can't reach it." I say and he does.

"Getting born in the state of Mississippi
Papa was a copper, and her mama was a hippy
In Alabama she would swing a hammer
Price you got to pay when you break the panorama
She never knew that there was anything more than poor
What in the world does your company take me for?
Black bandanna, sweet Louisiana
Robbing on a bank in the state of Indiana"

"Come on sing it grandpa's ." I say tapping Derek's shoulder but he doesn't, he snatches the phone and turns off the music. "Bitch." I muttered. "You need to get in the other lane, Mark , can you not read signs?" I ask, staring out the window.

"I know what I'm doing." He says and I roll my eyes. "Ooooh look horses!" I say pointing out the window. "Stop." I say and Mark stops the car to let me out. "Why are we stopping?" Derek mutters.

"Because I'm hurt and yall gotta listen to me." I say getting out my phone walking over to the horses. "Cmon, I need proof that you're a fun surgeon." I say smiling.

"No, and we're not having fun." Derek says walking over to me. "Y'know after this we should definitely hit up a bar, find some one night stands." I say taking a picture of Mark and Derek looking at horses.

"You are definitely not sleeping with someone, just the sight of you would scare them off." Derek says and I cross my eyes.

"What are you implying that im ugly?" I ask looking over at Mark.

"It's impossible for us Sloans to be ugly, we have godly genes." Mark says and Derek rolls his eyes. "I'm implying that you look like you just got jumped and hit by a car several times." Derek says and Mark tries not to laugh.

"Well I was beaten by a cult leader so does that count?" I ask walking back to the car.

"That's not funny Leah." Mark said sternly.

"Loosen up, I won't get laid but you two need to." I say hopping into the back seat.

"Mama needs some alcohol." I say laying on my because it was the most comfortable without hurting my ribs.

"Mama can do that on her own time." Mark says and Derek snickers.

Three hours later Mark pulled into a hotel that looked rather full. "Stay in the car, I'll check us in." Derek said, walking out of the car.

Me and Mark looked at eachother then got out of the car to follow him. Derek looks back and rolls his eyes.

"I can't believe I'm stuck with two children." He said, still walking, "we're not children." I retorted, crossing my arms looking around.

"Evening." I said walking with Derek up to the counter to check us in.

She looked horrified when she saw me. "Don't worry, They didn't do this." I say pointing at them then my face nods and smiles.

"Three rooms please." Derek says, opening his wallet to find the card. "One room is all we got, is that ok?" She asked, looking between us and I smiled at Derek.

"That'll be great, thank you." I say taking the keycard and letting Derek pay.

"There's a bar next door." The receptionist said. "Lovely." I reply by pulling their arms to the hotel room. They followed me into the room where there were two beds.

"Who's sharing it with me?" I ask looking at them both.

"Derek can." Mark said, throwing his stuff onto a bed. Derek rolled his eyes and I smiled. "Just like old times." I say throwing my stuff onto a bed. Then getting out my makeup bag.

"What are you doing?" Mark asks. "Making myself presentable, can't have it look like you two bout damn killed me can I? There's not much I can do about the stitches but I can cover these bruises. About an hour later I was finally finished. I put on a brown turtle neck with a pair of ripped skinny jeans.

"I'm done." I say walking out of the room into the hallway. "Finally." They mumble following me and locking the door behind.

"You really need to lighten up, I see you guys and you're all grumpy." I say putting my phone in my pocket.
